Going forward w/ Romo

A stat on 9 passes completed.

That says it all.
Actually, no. That stat responds to the poster who said Romo couldn't throw the deep ball. So that stat shows how Romo was one of the best in the NFL throwing the deep ball in 2011.

You're probably looking for the season rating (102.5) That's the one that shows how Romo was one of the best in the NFL throwing the ball, period.

Here's what I'm talking about...
Passes 11-30 yds:

Romo 75 - 141

Stafford 87-174

Ryan 86 - 176

Rodgers 93 - 166

Brady 98 -180

Brees 120 - 197
If they ever change the rules so that the QB can never throw passes of less than 11 yards or more than 30, then this will definitely be something to worry about.

Or.. if you don't want safties and LB's sitting on your short routes and stuffing your running game you have to exploit that area.

That would be true, but it doesn't describe the way the season played out. There wasn't much of a problem with either the short passing game, or with the running game between the 20's, which no doubt had a lot to do with Romo's 119.7 rating on throws of over 10 yards.

The run game got stuffed in the red zone when a smaller field (not an inability to exploit the area more than 10 yards down the field) led to the situation you described.

The one thing you have wrong is your idea of what you think this undrafted nobody Quarterback is. But being wrong is something you're used too.

Where was Tom's rated? Where was Brees' rated? He made it further than Romo will ever make it. You see son, you are like David to Goliath but with out a stone in your slingshot. You have marbles.

Go away little girl, this argument is for men, which I've yet to encounter so far, so maybe you should stay.

Whine Whine Whine, OMG! look at Romo's stats. He's the man, he's the man. He has nothing around him, OMG, look at Romo. No team around him, whine whine, yet he can't make stats without a team around him.

Romo fans are the least intelligent of all fans in sports.

This is the kind of crap driving intelligent people off of this forum and onto others

The stat I like the most is Super Bowl victories, and then the next stat I like is Super Bowl appearances. If "said" player can't even make the Super Bowl, there's no need to bring his name up. Going to a Super Bowl means that you're good enough, just not good enough to win the whole thing.

If you've ever followed anything I've said, you would know that I don't think Moreno was my favorite of all times because he simply couldn't win the Super Bowl, and I stand by that.

So Marino was a ****ty QB.. got it.

These are my opinions, just like these other people have theirs. Why don't you go whine at them and quote all of their posts and leave mine out of it. BUT NO, you don't agree so you fire your crap at me. I won't miss you, I promise.

Can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.

No, Romo is not the guy to lead us to the Super Bowl. Got that? Oh yeah, that's my professional opinion.

It's like someone shoots 95% from the free throw line and you still have folks saying that he can't shoot free throws.
It's dumbfounding.
The measurable evidence is right there. The other non-measurable stuff is purely on an opinion basis, nothing more or less.
He can't win playoffs on a regular basis. FACT = PROVEN . He can't take his team to an NFC championship game FACT = PROVEN. He can't win a Super Bowl Title FACT = PROVEN - He either chokes, or doesn't carry the team when it's a do-or-die game situation "consistently" FACT = PROVEN. He's a regular season hero FACT = PROVEN.

Measure that. I'll give you all the time you need.

I see an easy 5-6 years left in Romo. How long did it take Brees to win the big one?

I don't care if he plays for 15 more years, if he's not winning, why exactly do I want him?

Like someone else said.....is Michael Boley a better linebacker than Demarcus Ware because his team is in the superbowl?

There you go again comparing QBs to OLBs. My suggestion to you is, try playing checkers or connect four because football is not your calling.

Not whining just stating a fact. It was meant for someone to read he knows who he is.

In that case, my apologies.

As the year went on our running game became less effective. Even if you look at Felix only, swing passes were open for large gains early, by seasons end our RB's were lucky if they didn't get rocked when the ball got there. I'm not the one who was asking Romo to stretch the field, that was his coaches. He'll either adjust, or he'll have a difficult year.
