And who holds players accountable? Coaches. It's Mikes job as HC to empower the other coaches to do what they must, bench players or make whatever changes are needed to get the message across to players and hold them accountable. In a better environment it's the GM who starts this by holding the HC responsible while being held responsible to the owner but this element is missing as Jerry is responsible to no one and the lack of accountability trickles down to the players.
for sure the coaches but its the NFL, the players also hold each other accountable.. the leaders of this team need to demand better play starting with themselves..

I'll answer this a different way, taking into account the players who have been criticized the most over Sunday.

Guys I am not worried about going forward - Parsons, Kearse, Lamb, Osi (granted, he's a pass rushing DT, not a run stopper)

Guys I am worried about being able to consistently up their level of play - Dak (I fear what you see is what we are going to get - decent but not great QB play at best), LVE (Man he looked slow and bad), Gilmore (I wonder if age is kicking in), Clark (I am still not sure what he is), Mazi (I have accepted this is likely a lost/learn year for him)

I'll give my thoughts: Whatever offensive coaches and assistants we have need to get together and scheme up a better red zone plan.

Bones Fassel can take the week off, as his kicking unit has had enough work!

Your turn...
We need our 3 starters on the Oline back. The linebackers and safeties need to wake up I would say.

Dak has played well overall. Ill take that all day.

Dak hadnt thrown a pick all year so trolls like you are creaming in your pants over a meaningless one when the game was already decided. LOL

Jerry can step up his game by putting Jimmy in the ring of honor.

The defense. And the offense. And the special teams.

Oh and also the coaching.

Dak first and foremost. He's the most important player on the team. Without him playing well, this team has no **** at making a deep playoff run. He's been in this league long enough. He shouldn't be making stupid mistakes like he did at the end of last week's game.

Kearse and the whole secondary. He was abysmal last week. I'm starting to think he's not nearly the player we thought he was. The secondary can't expect the pass rush to bail them out every play.

Linebackers. They were really bad last week. Any time a team has that many rushing yards the linebackers aren't playing well. We should have tried to sign bobby Wagner instead of bring back LVE.

TEs. I saw more dropped balls from them on Sunday. Unless its raining or they take a big hit, no excuse for dropping short passes

This team is too talented to lose to the Cardinals and trail wire to wire. There's no excuse. Even with the line injuries, we were still were very effective running the ball and the pass protection wasnt bad.

In order for this team to get where we all want…winning MULTIPLE playoff games…Here’s what we need:
  • All 53 players completely committed to excellence, toughness and attention to detail.
  • Every single member of the coaching staff completely focused and committed to getting the absolute best from the players each week, regardless of opponent.
  • Will McClay and his entire staff need to be prepared at any moment to add the right players that will make this team even better.
  • The owner/GM/president/socks&jocksCEO and his entire family need to stop talking. That alone would help this team immensely.
The last bullet will unfortunately never happen. But it sure would help.

Interesting stat I heard on LockedOn today. We are almost beat in the league in percentages of runs that go for 0 yards or TFL, but almost the worst at stopping runs in the second level.

I’m especially sad Clarke hasn’t shown us much. He’s still basically a rookie but I had sky high hopes for him
