Going into the playoffs should we rest players?

It's very easy, win on Thursday. If the Eagles win you rest, if Eagles lose you don't.

I agree, you play balls to the wall until the division is mathematically eliminated and we are locked into the 5th seed.

Then last game of the year against the Commodes, maybe play starters the first half just so they dont get rusty from sitting for two weeks.

Lock Parsons in a closet that last game to make sure he rests?

Not sure how it worked for us last year, as we can see it didn't. What should we do this year???

Load management and conserve these guys as much as possible for this game.

Next week I wouldn't be opposed to the same approach and pulling the starters pretty quickly if they play at all.

One week of rest is fine. I get nervous with any more. We come out sluggish too often anyway. We don't want to go into Tampa rusty as well.

I am still holding out hope it's Carolina in round one.

I would play starters tonight, depending on what takes place this weekend with Philly. Should Philly lose to NO and Dallas beat Tenn then you bet I go into the final weekend all hands on deck. Should the game have no meaning, I sit the key starters.

If Philly lays an egg the next two games we're in 1st. I wouldn't sit anyone, but I'd play Micah sparingly.

Philly may be gifted a win against NYG if they need that game to win, if they lose to NO.
If NYG beats the Colts, they clinch a playoff spot. It may locks them in as the 6th seed. They may rest players against the Eagles. We need Colts to beat the NYG this week, to give them an incentive to play their starters against the Eagles.
Unless they play for pride to have the satisfaction that they kept them from winning the division. But doubt they care.

They may but then again should Philly lose this week they will be in no position to sit starters last week of the season. Nothing is set in stone, while Philly likely will get the #1 seed should they screw this up and Dallas did not take advantage of it, I would think we would be looking pretty stupid.

Play all the starters, until they don't have to.

I can see the situation now. If we win tonight, Eagles lose on Sunday.
What does the NFL do for week 18.
What game do they put on Sunday night. Depending playoff implication of NYG and Washington. Which team needs a win, if they do, to get into the playoffs. For the SNF game.

Dallas needs a win for the division, Washington needs a win to make the playoffs, that is the game.
Same scenario for the Philly - NYG game.
Dallas get sit for the ratings.

The only other game they may put there is is the Bengals and Ravens are playing for the division as well, yes, Titans - Jaguars for their division, if those other divisions are settled.
Playoff spot games though depending what happens.
As to getting in as WC's or NFCS winner.

Detroit - Packers
NYJ - Miami
Carolina - NO (if Carolina beats TB this week)

We should play'em the 1st Quarter, and rest them .

That should end the rust dilema .

I meant NYG will be sitting starters if they beat the Colts. And Philly needs to win that game for the division.
NYG win Sunday, I believe that locks them in as the 6th seed.

Should add Minn to the mix, they are 1 game ahead and would need to lose one of the remaining 2 games

They would but I don't think that necessarily means they will sit starters especially playing against Philly who hammered them just recently.
