Going into the playoffs should we rest players?

The team cannot build the momentum going into the playoffs if they are resting their best players.

Not sure how it worked for us last year, as we can see it didn't. What should we do this year???
well you are making a connection between resting players and losing. You can say what is best depending on what you think. We have seen number 1 seeds rest players then get a bye and then lose.... so can we conclusively say that the rest caused the loss???? uhm, no.

Bottom line is we always hear how being healthy is so important heading into the playoffs. If the Eagles win Sunday IM resting a boatload of players the following week. Zeke, Pollard, Lamb, Gallup, Dak, Tyron, Martin, Parsons, Diggs, Tank, and then I limit snaps to as many players as I possibly could. Noah Brown and Ty Hilton would be getting all sorts of targets and malik Davis would get 25 carries.

Its a win win. Players get rest, and Hilton and Malik get tons of playing time.

By the way, Id be getting TY Hilton 10 targets tonight.

That's a Kitty cat way of thinking.....if they are hurt, sure...if they are healthy, play them!

NO DALLAS COWBOYS TEAM HAS EVER GONE TO OR WON A SUPER BOWL NOT WINNING THE LAST 2 GAMES OF THE REGULAR SEASON.

Nobody calling themselves Dallas Cowboys or even your Arlington Jonesboys have gotten past this fact. See 2007 and 2016 for recent examples having home field advantage throughout the playoffs but not winning the last 2 regular season games.

It called playing with momentum. Winning momentum.

They can do it without breaking momentum heading into the tournament. They will have a nice break after the Titans game. A game they need to be sharp and ready for, taking any doubt about the outcome away in the 3rd Q. They can start resting guys at that point.

If the Eagles win Sunday, treat the Washington game like a pre season dress rehearsal. The starters should be sharp and ready to jump on the Commanders and play well in the 1st half. The outcome of that game not as critical as how the starters perform in the 1st half.

If this plays out this way only exception I would make are players who are playing through injuries right now. Those guys I would sit.

If Philly lays an egg the next two games we're in 1st. I wouldn't sit anyone, but I'd play Micah sparingly.
Your point still stands, but the 49ers get top seed ahead of us if we both win out in that scenario.

But we would get #2 seed, which is huge, and means 2 or more home games if we keep winning.

If Philly wins this week, we are locked into the 5th seed regardless.

I meant NYG will be sitting starters if they beat the Colts. And Philly needs to win that game for the division.
NYG win Sunday, I believe that locks them in as the 6th seed.
True about NYG.
But Philly wraps up the division and top seed if they win this week. The own tie-breaker over Vikings
So, both teams could be resting players in week 18, with 1st and 6th seeds wrapped.

No doubt. I see somewhere out there in the threads Pollard is headed toward sitting tonight. Guys like DLaw, LVE, Zeke, Parsons, Martin, Gallup, Schultz, Diggs, Kearse have all been dinged up or had to recover from a serious injury. Limited duty or flat out rest would help in those cases.

Resting players only works if your a mentally tough team. The only player the Cowboys should rest is Parsons. We've seen the Cowboys rest players and they can't seem to get going again. I would try and build momentum off the Eagles win.
