most of us wrote it off.

now look for emotional insurance.

but we played well.

nothing changes a tough year. nothing.

but no one makes you a child except you.

The team played well and almost overcame the TD on the KO and the fact that they lost the TO battle. To do so on the road to a team that has won 14 in a row at home suggests that it would be near impossible to overcome.

However we did have a chance to win/tie it twice but Dez dropped a pass and Bailey missed the kick.

I take more positive than negative from the game as the running game really clicked and Romo played well after a horrific game in Chicago.

I still think we are a year away from being serious playoff contenders as this roster is still too weak in too many spots. I do think having to drag along guys like Mack and McCray is too much for us to overcome.

Jason Garrett now has a history of bad clock management at the end of a game.
These cant keep happening costing the team. They could have spiked the freaking ball. They could have lined up in the middle of the field. Called 2-3 plays during the 1st timeout. Cmon MAN!!!!!!!!!!:bang2:

Im tired of trying to make excuses and trying to take away positives from games we could have clearly won if we werent so inept. This is just a dumb football team starting with the GM on down.

The very culture of this football team needs changed and it wont change as long as Jerry the GM is running the show regardless who we have coaching or playing for us.

Drinking a lot today iceberg ?

Childish is different from being a child.

And many things can change a tough year to make it better.

I don't take solace in the fact that we almost won a game that we dominated. A game we controlled from start to almost finish

The team needs to actually win games to impress. Almost beating a team is pointless. Just like when people were up in arms over the Tampa 'win' (I was one of them), others rightly pointed out that two months from now nobody will care about how the game went, just the result.

This is no victory. In two months, it's just another loss.

Getting Dez more involved also.

we shouldn't have lost a game in which we had 30 first downs and >230 yards rushing, period. and i'm not convinced that this team will derive a significant moral boost from yet another close loss and blunder-fest.

At the same time though you should lose a game where you had 13 penalties. You just can't do it. You can't expect Romo to bail you out of 3rd and 15's every game.

Its a shame to because that last drive to end the game was some of the best i've EVER seen from this team. And people talk about poor clock management but the drive leading up to the TD and missed 2 point conversion was the best i've ever seen from this team.

I'm a little shocked by the mood on this site. Before the game you had fans who felt like the Cowboys sucked or felt like they had no chance. But those same fans are taking it harder than anyone else?

I'm not about moral victories. I hate it to be honest. And this is no moral victory. This is a game where we outplayed our competitor and should've won. But we saw a fight from this team that I haven't seen in a LONG TIME. And that includes that Giants game. We didn't have to fight through injuries, suspect penalties, etc. like in this game. We fought through it all and seemed to be destined to win. But there's next week and next week we have a chance to get to .500.

I was actually surprised we played well. Thus I really don't have much to criticize the Boys. Yes we lost but we gave it to them till the last seconds.

.500 is the best one can hope for from this group. please no talk of running the table, playoffs, etc.
