My wife wants to take me to a home game this season. Possibly Oct. 5th vs. the Texans.

I live in NJ, and have never been to the new stadium, and haven't been to Texas since I was little.

My question is, how do you plan such a trip? I saw packages through the website, but am curious about pricing, and if it's good or not.

Do not do what I did -

Me - "Hey, you wanna go to the Giants @ Cowoys game tomorrow?"

Brother - "You know that's a 17 hour drive, right?"

Me - "And?"

Brother - "Alright, lemme finish this sandwich"

For some reason, that turned out to be an extremely poorly organized trip.

Package deals are way overpriced IMO.

Just book everything yourself and save a little bit if cash.

But check out sportsconextion never had an an issue with them.

Used to use em before AT&T stadium when it was affordable.

I pretty much did that the last two games I went to. But my drives were much shorter.

Admiral hotel has decent prices. I stay there most of the time.

Humperdinks is where we go for pre-game festivities and to catch a shuttle.

That's a rivalry game, so ticket prices are pretty high. You can seriously catch the best deals the last 24 hours before the game. If you are going with more than 2 people, it may not be the best option, but you can still find deals for 2 during that time. It's a bit scary, but it's worked for me every time. You won't have quite the selection of available seats, but ticket owners don't want to eat the ticket and drop the price accordingly.

Try it for the first couple games of the season on ticket exchange and stubhub. You'll kinda see how the pattern goes.

I've never been to a game, seeing as I am out of state I always get worried because I want to see Dallas win but Dallas always plays bad in games I think we will come out with an easy victory in. Haha.

P.S stubhub rocks.

Thanks all. I got some planning to do!

If you rental a car and need parking, parkhub is a good place to look. I am flying in for some it training for work the week of the opener. I found parking options for around 15-20 dollars. You will have a little distance to walk if you do not mind.

That's funny. For some reason I'm picturing the road trip on Tommy Boy with Chris Farley and David Spade.
