I'll be in NY (or close enough) on Friday and am thinking of going to the draft. Is anyone else going and/or anyone have any information that would be useful, such as is it free? Do you walk in and start booing? Is it still at Radio City Music Hall? Will I be beaten up if I wear my Dez Bryant jersey? (Hopefully not by Cowboys fans). And so on... Any info (or link) is appreciated!

It is free, but when I went in 04, 05 and 06, I had to sleep outside the night before to stay in line to get tickets!

If you stay for the entire draft, you get free draft tickets for the following year.

It's pretty cool; they give out a radio set so you can listen to ESPN while you're sitting in your seat. Hope you have a good time.

Thanks for the information: So if I just show up sometime Friday morning, there's a good chance I won't get in...?

I've always thought they should move the draft around. This way it can be centrally located around other teams. For instance, Orlando, Las Vegas, Chicago, Atlanta, San Antonio. This way more fans can experience the draft. I would definitely go to the draft if it was in Orlando, and maybe drive up to Atlanta.

You have to have a ticket buddy. I had one last year, but I couldn't make it and gave it away.
