We have the edge guys with Ware, Carpenter, Burnett and Ellis.

Skill players from the Big 10 who can run are rarities not the rule. You need an OLB that can run, cover and hit. Carpenter can only do one of those things.

Like others on here, I've said all along this season that we do need another player who can provide more consistent pass rush pressure. Opposing QBs have had far too much time to pass the ball against us this year, and until we draft, or pick up, another "consistent" pass rusher, our defense will be hard pressed to step up to that next level. While I would like to think/hope that we have someone already on this team who will provide us with that needed pass rush pressure - at this point, I just don't see anyone whom we currently have on the roster who will do that for us. I know we have some young DL & LBs who are perceived by Valley Ranch as having pass rush "potential", but as we all know, far too often, potential does not pan out though!!

you guys don't need a passrusher. you guys have d ware. this board always hype him up as someone who is as great or better than s. merriman. everyone here would take ware over merriman. just ask ware to rush more (he is a better overall LB than merriman)
