Carr's contract was a bad one. Was he the best corner on the market the year we signed him. I think most people would say that he was. That being said they made him the 2nd highest paid cornerback in the NFL. He wasn't even in the top 10. Surprised his contract hasn't been addressed yet.
Franchising Spencer the 2nd year was not a sound move. There were players who were younger and better than Spencer who would have cost less than him in that free agency period. They didn't read things well at all. Combined with the cap penalties we received (that they didn't fight), this certainly hurt us pretty badly.
Romo's contract is a really good contract, anyone who says otherwise isn't familiar with the NFL or the QB position. It was a very team friendly contract and well under the going rate for top QBs.
The Sean Lee contract was another really good contract. Also very team friendly.
I wonder if what we signed Scandrick for was above the going rate. Never really understood the love this guy gets from the front office.
