Deion has undoubtedly been good for HBCUs but it is a double-edged sword as a recent article mentioned.
HBCU's have not been about coddling athletes or catering to them but instead about the HBCU experience.
That changes with 5-star kids and NIL.

And Deion himself interviewed this year at TCU and imho is one bad FSU season away from being named their head coach, which is the job he really wants.
So I applaud the job he has done and all but Deion has a long career of advancing Deion.

I think the new NIL allows HBCU schools to pick off a player here or there b/c you can basically buy the kids now. But, I see Travis getting his HBCU "experience" and hitting the transfer portal as soon as he can.

He'd 100000% follow Deion to FSU.
And if that ends up being a bullet in Deion's gun to get the FSU job then is this all as sexy as discussed.
