Yep. Our beloved Cowboys made GMA this morning. They were spotlighting Dale Hansen's rant over Hardy. They put up individual photos of Dez, Brent, and Hardy--made to look like mug shots. They mentioned Dez beat up his own mother, showed her interview and Dez with his sideline rants; Brent's real mug shot after killing his best friend in the car accident, and Hardy for his alleged beating of his girlfriend. They said America's Team is now America Most Wanted.

GMA also talked about how Dale Hansen is outspoken and a very popular journalist in the DFW area.

They really blasted the Cowboys.

Visions of the Running Man movie come to mind when I read stories like this one about television shows. "We don't lie."

I'll bet if Greg Hardy pulls twenty people from a burning building, shows like this one would say he was originally there to beat them, rob them or that he threw them in the burning building first.

Since 2008 or 2009, the 'Stillers' are something like 3rd in arrests. Where is the outrage?

All of this is because of "Dallas-hate" and "Dallas sells."

If Hardy signed with Buffalo or Jacksonville there would be no outrage.

If there is going to be outrage, it should be at the NFL for allowing certain players to be available to play.

Agree. If they were given similar " National Enquirer" like coverage they wouldn't like it. Also, they better stop glorifying " bad boy rapper" behavior as acceptable.

When I went out for lunch yesterday, the TV's in the restaurant were all on ESPN and the whole time they were talking about Dale Hansen and Greg Hardy/Cowboys. For a solid hour and a half that I was there.

Did you guys know that every NFL team except for Dallas is full of boy scouts who help little old ladies cross the street?

I'm going to go ahead and doubt that almost any other team would be getting this kind of scrutiny. As if we needed a reminder that Dallas is still America's Team, for better or for worse.

Whether it is local, regional or national based, nothing approaches the level of unabashed sensationalism in this country like that which flows unfettered from the media. Nothing.

As long as Hardy has learned his lesson and never does anything like this again, this will all pass. I don't think he is completely innocent in all this so he can take his lumps. The media will move on shortly to the next story. It will come up again next season when he is suspended and returns, cause that's how it works. But how much of a story and what type of story this is going forward is up to Hardy himself.

They present the news as "Hey New Yorkers, look what we think is going on in the rest of the country."

You just get things like this. Completely unaware of what's going on elsewhere leading to lazy segments that speak in broad generalizations.

If the Cowboys don't want this attention, then maybe they should not have signed these players. In two out of three of the cases it's justified. It's even somewhat fair with Dez, although they should point out that he has since sucked it up and gotten his act together.

GMA is MSNBC on steroids. And MSNBC is pathetic. They both appeal to the low information crowd. My wife always has ABC on in the morning for Pittsburgh's Action channel 4 news, so guess what's on at 7 am?
