Its so easy go get caught up in the glamorous players of this draft..guys like Peterson, Fairley, Quinn, Miller etc...However, when I really sit and think about it, JJ Watt is exactly the type of person and player that this team needs..and we need more than just one...

Me too, but with a slight trade down...he's got Steeler's mentality which this glitzy team needs an infusion.

I like Smith and I'm fine with us taking him at 9, but I totally agree about this team needing some Watt-types. I would be very happy with a trade down to get Watt and then using the additional pick and our 2nd to move up for Carimi. We'd likely still have a 3rd rounder left. Watt and Carimi are instant starters that fill 2 holes. They add toughness and a physicality that this team needs. Carimi has a nasty streak and Watt has a motor that doesn't stop. Those types of players help to change the attitude of a team. Those guys are rocks that you don't have to worry about for years that will likely make those around them better.

There was a nice piece on him last night on Total Access. The only draw back to him (as was pointed out on TA) is that he doesn't have a great pass rush. But he is a beast and would be a big upgrade for us.

best 5 tool player in the draft. I get the sense...Fairley goes to Dallas...watt goes to washington.
