Ryan Broyles from oklahoma

Positives: Hands are like glue, catches everything around him... Good at plucking the ball out of the air with his hands, rarely lets the ball get into his body... Led all Oklahoma receivers with a bench press of 310 pounds... Willing to make the tough catch over the middle... Most effective when working from the slot, makes a lot of catches within 1-10 yards from the line of scrimmage... Good at finding the soft spot in zone coverage... Very shifty in the open field, displays a short area burst and good vision... hard to tackle after he makes the catch, elusive... Crazy production, posted 118 catches for 1,452 yards and 13 touchdowns this year... Set seven Oklahoma receiving records in 2010... Great punt returner, active career leader from BCS schools in punt return yards with 906... Still improving, was recruited to Oklahoma as a cornerback and redshirted his freshman year to learn wide receiver.

Negatives: A bit undersized, might struggle to get off the line of scrimmage in the NFL... Has a tendency to be bumped off his routes... Appears to be more quick than fast... Suffered a collar bone injury in 2009... Minor character concerns, was arrested his freshman year for stealing gasoline... Oklahoma's pass heavy offense inflated his stats a bit... Limited upside because of his size, will be a better number two option in the NFL than number one... Not a run blocker, seems to give up on his blocks too early.

Torrey Smith - Maryland (HT: 6-1 - WT: 200)

Positives: Elite combination of size and speed, has reportedly run in the low 4.3 range... Stock should rise during post season workouts... Does a nice job beating jams... Has a good burst off the line of scrimmage... Explosive out of his breaks, accelerates quickly... Solid production, coming off the best game of his career with a 224 yard, four touchdown performance against North Carolina State in the last game of 2010... No notable injury history... Has added value as a kick returner... Home run hitter, tough to defend down the field, a big vertical threat... Huge upside if he can learn the intricacies of the position, physical tools are outstanding... Players with his physical abilities are often drafted high.

Negatives: Lets too many passes get into his body, has to learn to catch with his hands... Drops some catchable balls.. Gathers himself a bit before going into open-field cuts... rounds off some of his routes... Runs most of his routes along the sideline, hasn't shown a willingness to work the middle of the field... Just an average run blocker... Maryland is known for players with tremendous triangle numbers who don't translate well to the NFL (see: Darrius Heyward-Bey)... A bit of a project.

Jerrel Jernigan - Troy (HT: 5-9 - WT: 190)

Positives: Great speed, one of the fastest receivers in this class... Good at plucking the ball out of the air... Catches passes while running at full speed, doesn't have to gear down to focus on the ball... At his best when running routes within 15 yards of the line of scrimmage... Explosive off the line of scrimmage, instant acceleration... Very quick and elusive in the open field... Good runner after the catch, tough to bring down, cuts on a dime... Experienced lining up in the backfield, can be utilized as a situational tailback... Former quarterback, understands defenses and is good at finding soft spots in zone coverage... Has lined up at quarterback in the wildcat formation... Known as a hard worker... Added value with return ability... Ideal fit as a slot receiver, will terrorize the middle of the field.

Negatives: Very small, gets knocked around, post season weigh ins will be important for him... Not much of a vertical threat, his big plays come from yards after catch... Has a tendency to round off his cuts... Physical corners can give him fits, gets bumped off routes and has trouble getting separation... Limited blocking ability due to his size... Hasn't been utilized much in the red zone, averaged one receiving touchdown for every 15 receptions over his career at Troy... Level of competition may be questioned after playing in the Sun Belt... Likely a number two or three option for an NFL offense.

As crazy as it sounds, I would be giddy over Broyles at the top of the second. He is Wes Welker, and I have a very high opinion of Welker.

This board would likely melt down, but I'd be happy.

Dwayne Harris, WR/KR, East Carolina
Height: 6-0. Weight: 205.
Projected 40 Time: 4.50.
Projected Round (2011): 3-4.

10/1/10: Harris is one of the more underrated receiving prospects in the country. He's a very polished, competitive player who doesn't go down easy once the ball is in his hands. Harris has notched 23 catches for 294 yards and four touchdowns this year for the ECU Pirates.

Matt Szczur, WR/RB/KR, Villanova
Height: 5-11. Weight: 195.
Projected 40 Time: 4.47.
Projected Round (2011): 3-4.

Ronald Johnson, WR/RS, USC
Height: 6-1. Weight: 185.
Projected 40 Time: 4.42.
Projected Round (2011): 3-5

Jeremy Kerley, WR/PR, TCU
Height: 5-10. Weight: 192.

I like Jeremy Kerley of that group the most.
