We won, which is always good! I don't worry about the draft, but we win and our offense sucks which gives me hope that we will get some new offensive staff and maybe a weapon or two. Defense is getting younger and better and will be very good if we keep some keys pieces and add a couple more.
I'm a Homer, I don't ever want to lose.

Oh, I almost forgot...... Garrett Sucks!!!!

This was a meaningless there was no moral victory with the way the offense performed and the defense not being challenged by the Eagles backups. I don't feel any better about this football after this game than how I felt last week.

I don't understand all the negativity. The Cowboys barely beat a bunch of scrubs, true, and the offense looked horrible.

But what if the Cowboys lost or even got blown out by these scrubs? That wouldn't have made me feel any better.

It doesn't matter, you're asking a hypothetical question. We saw what we saw today. It was reality. Not good.

At least you'd have higher draft picks.

And quite possibly it would have been enough to wake up a stubborn old fool to what is rather than what he continues to hope it is.

This "win" was a sham that only hurt this team.

Then this could benefit the team in the long run. They get a win to enter the offseason on a positive note, yet still looked bad enough to perhaps trigger the changes to this coaching staff that we all want to see.

Here's a fun exercise

Go through old posts and see who praises the Eagles for playing their starters in last years win over Dallas' backups.

Now see who calls Dallas stupid for doing the same.

We really should have a way to notate these members if we're logged in. Some type of highlighting for their names, so we can remember how utterly childish they are.

That was not a good win. we looked so pathetic and anemic. How we walked out of there with a win, God only knows. Morally it does nothing to bolster the confidence for the returning players next year. It killed us in the draft.

Not saying I wanted to lose, but a win like that was in some ways worse than a lose. Nothing good about it at all.

I see your point and I do not disagree. But I like to win and draft position is flexible anyway. That's just my side of the argument; and I'm not saying my side is right or better; it's just mine.

:hammer:
Another fun exercise, if a fan wants to lose to Philadelphia, is he really a fan?

Here's another "fun exercise". Let's examine the fact that Garrett rested guys headed into the playoffs but exposed every starter he could to injury in a meaningless season-ender that accomplished nothing other than saving his own worthless hide.

But sure, you focus on what people say on the internet and others of us will focus on what inept coaches do.

Philly had HFA locked up and nothing to play for. We had a game we needed to play at least decent in. We played well enough to win. All the hypotheticals are irrelevant. Does it mean the world to me? Of course not. We beat a team playing for pride without some of its starters in the game. It counts as a win with little bragging rights. Still a win.

And you're entitled to it.

But you wondered about the negativity and you asked why, and you were told why.

And again, for historical perspective, the last meaningless win meant the difference between being in position to draft Wentz and not, so there's that.
