Good year to not be drafting high.

I think this is a pretty good year to not be drafting high. I think other than D'Brickshaw we are looking at several boom or bust players at the top of the draft. Young, Bush, and Leinart I don't think are guranteed hits, or anything close to guranteed. All three have issues and will need to correct or work around them to be successful in the NFL.

I'm pretty sure Bush is not a feature back in the NFL. That means the team that takes him has to figure out how to use him. Super Westbrook comes to mind.

Leinart looks like he still needs some work to be a NFL QB. Mostly pass selection and probably a bit of mechanics.

Young still has to improve his passing. He has made a big stride this year, and probably should come out as his stock will never be higher. But his career would probably be better served by spending another year in college.

I really like the LB's and S's coming out this year along with the Tackles. Everythng we need I think the draft will be deep in except maybe WR but with crayton coming along and Glenn healthy I think we have another year before we are in real desperate need of a WR IMO....

It's pretty weak this year for the skill positions.
But man I'd love to get Ferguson.
I'm so sick of the same wack teams getting to select the best draft picks. Yea their teams still suck but it's not like we won the Super Bowl either.

I disagree! This is one of the deepest drafts in several years for OT, LB, QB, and OG.All are positions of need for the Cowboys. Even at 18, we should be able to load up on the Offensive Line, LB, and even get a good NT in Montavious Stanley. I think this year is definately an improvement over last year.

What you just said agrees it's a good year not to have a top draft pick...Why you wonder and how what you said is the same easy because if all the talent is think as you claim and I agree there isn't much drop off then you can get the same calibur player or close to the same between 6 as you can at 18 so it's not a good year to have a top pick do you follow that line of thinking?

This draft is much better up top than last year's and pretty good overall.

All the talent is mostly after the first 5 picks... We are in a really good slot, because everything we could possibly use will fall to us at 18 IMO...

I want a young QB in the 2nd round at the latest (Hopefully Jacobs). And i want a OL in the 1st if its worth it to take him there. If not take a WR, if Holmes is there. I guess if not we could trade and get a 2nd and a 3rd and get a OL also in the 2nd and take a WR in the 3rd maybe. I dont know! I JUST WANT THE DRAFT TO GET HERE!

I don't like D'Brickshaw as a Top 5 pick. For all the talk about how small Al Johnson is, he's the exact same size as D'Brickshaw at left tackle. I don't ever see him being a Jonathon Odgen, Walter Jones, or Orlando Pace, because he's too much of a finesse player. I'm not so sure he's really any better than the other tackles in the class. I wouldn't be surprised if Marcus McNeil is the real stud in this class if he can get a coach who can kick him in the arse.

I also think D'Brick is too small- he needs to put on a lot of weight. I prefer the man mountain McNeil.
