As much as I am a die hard Commander fan I am a huge NFC east fan. I want our division back where it belongs and that is the best division in Football. I really want the Cowboys and the Commanders to win out. When was the last time we had three 10+ win teams in the division? When was the last time the rivalry really meant something year after year and battle after battle?

I get the feeling the next 3-5 years in the NFC east are going to be fun to watch how things unfold. The thought of having battles and wars of epic proportions once again is thrilling if you are a smashmouth purest.

I see Dallas as a team on the rise. You guys have a solid young nucleus on "D". If you can add a few vet's in the offseason to be leaders on and off the field that "D" has alot of potential. Your woes on "O" are alot harder to cure in one season, but Parcells has never built an offensive juggernaut. He has always won with great Defense and I see him pouring the footings this season. Sometimes you need an opinion from the outside looking in. Don't give up on Parcells so quickly. As much as I have hated him over the years I have also had a great deal of respect for what he has built, managed and accomplished.

Last weeks game should have really pissed off every single player on your team. If the real Cowboys show up today you will give the Panthers a wake up call. Your "D" should keep it close and you should pound the run down there throats and control the clock keeping your "D" fresh. Show the league that smashmouth is back in the NFC east and have a Merry Christmas while your at it.

This is the kind of post that I like to see, especially from another team fan. No trolling. Just a good opposing teams fan talking good football.

The NFC East will be stronger over the next few years, count on it.

And a Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Top Ten reasons why Panthers won't make any noise in the playoffs

No. 1
Inconsistent running game
You can count Carolina’s 100-yard rushers this season on one hand. In fact, you can count them on one finger.
History has proven you need a good running game and a reliable back to advance in the postseason, and the reality is the Panthers have lacked consistency in that area all season and don’t have a top-notch running back.
In 2003, the Panthers had a healthy Stephen Davis pounding away at defenses.
This year they do not.
Put it this way, if the Panthers have to travel to chilly Chicago next month, do you have confidence they will dominate the game on the ground and DeShaun Foster will run 32 times for 120 yards and a couple of touchdowns? Neither do I.

No. 2
Overrated offensive line
I may be reading too much into this, but I think it said volumes about how coach John Fox really feels about his offensive line when he was asked earlier this week who should make the Pro Bowl from his offense.
“Obviously, Steve Smith,” Fox said. “I think Jake (Delhomme) has had a good season for us thus far. I’m not sure what direction that will go. I think that would probably be it offensively.”
Fox mentioned none of his offensive linemen, even though guard Mike Wahle was named to the NFC team a day later.

No. 3
No second receiver
I don’t care what Fox says, Keary Colbert has been a dog this year, pulling off a disappearing act that would have made Houdini proud. I mean, c’mon, a starting receiver in the NFL with only 23 catches for 271 yards in 14 games? Someone ought to take away his man card with those type of numbers.
If opposing teams double-team Smith and take him away, then Delhomme will have to rely on Colbert, Ricky Proehl and now Drew Carter to carry the load. That trio won’t scare many defensive coordinators.
And if you’re thinking Carter is going to step in and save the passing game, you’re a little overly optimistic. Yes, he’s a nice player and has big talent. But he’s only played in one NFL game and the Panthers may have waited too long to get him game experience.
No. 4
Too many turnovers
Delhomme is headed to the Pro Bowl, but largely by default. Many of the top quarterbacks in the NFC are either injured or have had bad seasons, or both. That list includes former Pro Bowlers Donovan McNabb, Brett Favre, Daunte Culpepper, Kurt Warner and Marc Bulger.
The truth is Delhomme has made too many critical mistakes and has as many turnovers (20) as touchdown passes (20). I think he played better in 2003 and 2004.
Delhomme does a great job of running the show in Carolina and is an outstanding leader. You cannot question his heart and desire. But he needs to cut down on his mistakes. A better team, like Chicago, would have made the Panthers pay last week for two first-half turnovers. The Panthers were lucky they were playing the New Orleans Saints.

No. 5
Troublesome kicker
You need confidence in your kicker when the playoffs arrive and it’s hard for the Panthers to have any when John Kasay has missed eight of his last 10 kicks from beyond 40 yards. Kasay’s struggles have been well documented, so we won’t harp on them.
But when the Panthers are trailing by three and they line up for a 50-yard field goal, they need to know he will convert. If he doesn’t, that means the opposing team gets the ball at their own 40, giving them excellent field position.
And what about when you need a field goal to tie the game at the end of regulation? In past years, it’s been easy to have faith in Kasay. But this year? Who knows?

No. 6
Just one injury away
I think the Panthers simply don’t have enough offensive weapons and are one Steve Smith pulled hamstring away from being a very, very mediocre team.
No. 7
Third-down offense
Good teams will take a hard look at what Tampa Bay did to Carolina two weeks ago and exploit the Panthers’ third-down defense.
It was Carolina’s Achilles heel last year and they have struggled with it at times this season. The Panthers are allowing opponents to convert 41 percent of their third downs, which is way too high.

No. 8
Not battle ready
The Panthers are 10-4 this season, but are they battle ready? Other than Chicago and New England, the Panthers haven’t faced a top 10 team this year. The Panthers are 4-3 in games against teams with at least a .500 record.

No. 9
Where’s the magic?
This one is hard to describe, but in 2003 there was a certain magic to Carolina’s season, especially with how the Cardiac Cats always seemed to find ways to come back and win. This year, it doesn’t seem that magic is there, although that could change.

No. 10
The missed opportunity
I’d feel much better about Carolina’s chances of making it to Detroit on Feb. 5 had they beaten the Bucs two weeks ago. That loss is bigger than most realize. Not only did it kill Carolina’s momentum, it likely cost them a chance at the No. 2 seed in the NFC and a crucial first-round bye.
Even if the Panthers are to beat the odds and reach the Super Bowl, it’s unlikely they’ll win. Right now there are five teams in the AFC better than the Panthers: Indianapolis, New England, Cincinnati, Denver and San Diego.
Sorry to bum you out on Christmas Eve.
But here’s the good news: There’s always next year, and it’s only eight days away

Given the fact that luck is indeed for the unprepared(like Dallas is),we Cowboys fans appreciate the gesture.
