Anybody get a virus after downloading Google Chrome?

I decided to download it today at work and as soon as I did, I got a bunch of viruses. The only place I went too right after downloading it was Imeem.com, which is a safe site.

So now I'm bored at work because Help Desk has my regular computer trying to fix the PC.

I downloaded and installed it a few months ago and did not have the problem. I quit using it after a day or so as it was too minimalist for my taste.

I think Firefox is supposed to unveil a new version sometime next month.

If you're not using the Lynx web browser you're missing out.

CZ loads a 1/4 a seconds faster, yet Firefox offers a whole lot more than Chrome does.

Personally, I use Opera and Firefox at the same time. I load some sites in Opera, and others in Firefox. (CZ gets loaded in Opera)

I was trying to see if Chrome had some of the plugins like noscript that Firefox has and right now, it doesn't appear to have any.

It is pretty fast though!!!

I hear ya but if you think about it, that is how Google cut its teeth.

Besides being a great search engine, most people enjoined how minimalist and simple Google.com was and they seem to be approaching Chrome the same way.

Another thing that bugs me about the browser is that it doesn't seem to have a drop down in the url box, so you can quickly choose the sites in your history.
