Keep in mind I am coding while listening so this is a very rough recap.

Regarding accuracy in predicting draft and all the trades this year: Each trade makes 2 wrong picks

Nicest gosselin been to cowboys? Gosselin gave them an A two years ago. What's the problem?

First time he did not give a team an F.

Cowboys good until 6th round - reach

Criteria: Research 400 - 500. 300 or so draftable, assign point value. add point value/number of picks to determine grade. Above 14 = A, 11 = B, 8 - 10 = C, etc.

Mendenhall at 10, Felix at 21

Concerns about Mendenhall: one year guy, came off bench. One year wonder.

Felix Jones is a multipurpose pick. Cowboys committed to Marion Barber. Felix best compliment to Marion Barber and kick returns. Mendenhall has to be lead guy. Team pick rather than best player.

Had 4 CB in the first, DRC, McKelvin, Jenkins, Talib. Talib without character concerns is #1.

Atlanta and Houston reached at tackle.

Biggest reach: Dexter Jackson. I had as 5th, they took 2nd. Drafted based upon one tape.

Best value: Mendenhall. May have issue who is the starter.

I had number of teams with only one WR in first. Surprised to see Devin Thomas drop and Avery go before him.

Greenbay good job picking up Brohm. Brohm potential starter. Flacco suprise, Henne and Brohm much better. Before draft, had Atlanta and Baltimore trading up to get Brohm and Henne. Atlanta took Ryan, Baltimore moved up for Flacco.

Team drafting better because they are sticking to boards. Most teams letting the talent evaluators do the drafting.

Trend toward bigschool players; shorter step to the pros.

Chiefs got 6 starters in first three rounds, probably 8 in the draft. Every player they took was a tremendous value, better than the pick was worth.

Tanks. KC really cleaned up, I'm with him there.

Interesting bit about this being the best league-wide draft in memory, esp in view of the fact that pre-draft he was saying the talent was as mediocre as it's ever been. Not sure there's any contradiction there--just intriguing observations.

I think it was more of a 'Everyone drafted crappy players, but they were all the highest valued crap available when they were selected.'

This, as most will agree, is going to go down as a very deep draft 5 years from now.

... but I love our draft! Other than at CB and RB, there simply weren't more than one or two blue-chippers per position. There were also (IMHO) NO players at WR,DE,ILB,TE,FB,QB,S that would have been first rounders in the last 2 or 3 years. It was the perfect scenario for a team with huge needs at RB and CB! I am not very concerned about going with what we have at WR, if TO goes down we will just have to rely on our suddenly(vastly) improved defense!!!!!.

Amen Noober! Think Chicago 2 years ago (made the SB w/ their D) and Baltimore 8 years ago (won SB w/ their D). Defense wins Championships, no matter what Spags says...

It will depend on the positions.

This draft had some talent and we could see 3 or 4 QBs actually starting from this class. BUT, it also had some really poor positions like linebacker and wide receiver. I know a lot of WR actually went off the boards in rounds 2 and 3 but over half those guys will be busts imho.
