The Browns are shopping him, even after his blowup performance they would likely move him for a second rounder and I think we should make the call and do it. Sure we have Miles and Williams has some talent but nothing like Gordon, this guy is Dez Bryant-like with his exceptional talent and similar to Dez with his mental gaffes and off the field indiscretions. We've worked miracles in getting Dez together and if we could repeat the magic with Gordon we'd have the undisputable best tandem in the league and possibly two all time greats playing side by side...

We spent a 3rd on Williams this year.

Why spend a second on another WR when next year depending on who leaves we may have another long list of holes to fill in the draft?

I'd give them a 2nd for Josh Gordon. He's Dez Bryant-like with talent, mental gaffes and personal issues. We were able to work miracles with Dez, if we could do the same with Josh we'd have an elite tandem.

Shocking.

Well while they are having a firesale, we at least need to check it out cause they have several players who would be a great addition. Last thing we need is for the 9ers to get Gordon for cheap, up the asking price or get him for ourselves.

Make no mistake, news is coming out that they have an offer on the table for Gordon....bet its from a pretty good team.

The guy has 46 catches in a little over 2 years.

Escobar looked a lot like a young Witten on that seam route but by all means lets not develop our own when we can weaken our entire team for loading up in an area we are very strong.

You are looking at stats for his career (as short as it has been) when you should be watching games this year. He has exploded in his second year very similarly to other 2nd year players, they tend to take a little time to transition to the pro game. You do know how he is performing NOW right? Cameron is much more athletic and explosive than Escobar. Escobar will never be a Jimmy Graham type TE. How would this guy's inclusion weaken the team???

Hey, I like being right as much as the next guy, but not at the cost of improving my team.

We have Witten, Esobar, Hanna, Harris, Beasley and Austin who all can create mismatches over the middle. We would weaken the team by adding to an area of great strength at the expense of a draft pick that can be used elsewhere.

If you can't see that simple fact you should really cut the condecending crap.

He is walking a tight rope though and if he screws up he's done for a year.

I'm not giving up a 2nd for that.

I really like him though.

I also think Terrance Williams could be good but patience will be the key.

He has good physical ability as well but he is just ridiculously raw. I'm shocked at how it looks like he never got coached on how to play receiver in College.

And neither of those guys are better than Gordon or Cameron right now. Not one of them. Draft picks are shots in the dark, these 2 guys are already proven commodities and both still on their rookie contracts.

Both of these guys would dramatically improve the Cowboys, right now. Isn't that what draft picks are meant to do, improve the team?

Witten and Austin are both better. And FYI Cameron is in his 3rd year not his second...you did know that right?

Cameron's first year was a wash, he was barely active that season. Cameron switched to from WR to TE his senior year in college so the guy was literally learning the position the last 2 years.

Gordon is physically worth a 3rd rounder but the guy is 1 bad move away from being suspended for a year.

Plus he is from this area and the odd's of him doing something stupid increase.

I'd love to have Josh Gordon but it's a huge gamble.

It's silly to give up a third for such a player, so I agree.

The highest I'd go is a conditional fifth and maybe another conditional pick in the next draft.

The risk involved should limit better offers from anyone but a team like the Bengals, who seem to love risks, or Patriots, who have a coach who seems to think he can rehabilitate players.

Similar is not the same. Gordon's has had more off the field indiscretions than Dez and has already been suspended at the NFL level. Dez has not missed pro games due to suspension. A 2nd is too high of a pick to give up for this guy.

I don't buy that Gordon is already a proven, great commodity at the wide receiver position. I've seen plenty of wide receivers produce some early in their career and then never improve. Antonio Bryant showed some promise his first couple of seasons with bad QBS and never took the step to the next level.

He was drafted with a 2nd in the supplemental last year. People overvalue future draft picks far too much...

Gordon's worth a third round pick, and if they insist on more give them a fifth also.

I don't value a guy who has been consistently in trouble at the college and pro level. A Browns team building for the future would rather have a future draft pick than this young player is very telling.
