So, with all the needs the Cowboys have on their historic bad defense, the under-tackle position is the most pressing. Get that player in place, and Marinelli has a chance to compete on defense something the Cowboys failed to do last season even with Hatcher having a career year.

A dynamic under tackle makes for a dynamic Tampa 2 defensive scheme.

Which is why Pitt’s Aaron Donald intrigues me in this draft.

The 10 things you need to know bit worries me with the 2 red flags it throws up in the first two facts. A history of not "loving the game" and being lazy, pass.

The Goose finally has a decent article, but how can you not when you stick to this subject.
I'm all on board for selecting Donald. I think we can still get him with a trade down to around 25, pick up a 2nd or 3rd. May need to throw in one of out 7th's, depending where the 2nd round is.

The 10 things, starts with this "Pittsburgh defensive lineman Aaron Donald could be the exact nose tackle the Cowboys need. Here are 10 things you need to know about one of the fastest-rising draft prospects".
Fail.

I don't think there's any way we can trade down and still have Donald there. With his years of production, his dominance all week in Mobile, and then his fantastic combine performance, he just wouldn't make it into the 20's, IMO.

he was reflecting on how he was in MIDDLE SCHOOL. really going to hold that against him?

Is this place really that full of insane opinions that someone claiming not to like a potential pick based on him saying he didn't want to play football when he was five years old isn't obviously sarcasm?

On an unrelated note if he's there at 16 I take him there rather than trying to trade down and selecting him at "a better value" spot and risk someone else taking him in between picks. To me the value is in having the player you want.

True, I was thinking prior to the combine.

I read somewhere that Chicago was heavily considering Donald just in front of us at the 14th pick if he is there.

We might have to trade up to get him if that is true.

Yes that article in in the Chicago Tribune. I read it there and they are heavily considering him however
like another Post stated I wouldn't move up for Donald because if they take him than somebody slides
down !!!

It makes me wonder what kind of defense the Cowboys could have with Sharrif Floyd and they pickup Aaron Donald this year. Of course it's all wishful thinking.

Gosselin is hoping to parlay this into a 2 more articles. One for when the Cowboys don't pick him and another for why they should have if this guy ever has a good game.

It be just like him to make it into a Trilogy.
