in my twenties and early thirties ..it was always 5 o clock somewhere.

now in my late forties...it starts around 4 or so at the earliest.

i fear that might change tomorrow.

I'm 34. Definitely cannot throw down like I used to, but these playoff games have my nerves on full tilt. The booze calm me down a little and are a great excuse to either celebrate or drown my sorrows.

What time you all going to start enjoying your favorite refreshments?

It's only 12 hours to kickoff - I don't plan on stopping.

Seriously I'm not sure. I'm more worried about wearing out the carpet.

The game starts at 11 and I got some company coming.

So I'll be starting at 10 to take the edge off so I only partially offend the unwashed before the game.

I'll be as nervous as I have been in a while.

I'll start as soon as the bar starts selling alcohol which isn't until noon.... I wish I had one now. How am I going to sleep?

You are going to the wrong bar!

They can sell before noon as long as they serve food too.

Oh! I dont' know anything about this place I'm going. It's in freaking Baytown which is like 30 min away from me... hopefully, they serve food and I can get my 11AM brew! I'm going to need beer and half a Klonipin to make it through...

Don't drink anything other than water unless it's an away night game. So an ice cold water for me in my favorite Cowboys cup.

Yes sir they can. I owned a restaurant(in Houston) and know the TABC protocol to a T. If you sell food, you can sell alcohol before noon and I am 100% certain :)

This above.

I owned a bar too, in DFW, still involved with it in a way. And we cannot open until noon. We do not serve food.
Though if I don't watch the game at home, I may go early, about 11:00, but drink tea.....get TVs all set, though the daytime bartender can do that.
Will have a few beers after half time, maybe.

If I stay at home, will be coffee in the morning, Gatorade or Dr. Pepper at game time. Then go to bar at half, depending if I really want /need those beers. Depends on what some friends do also.

Key is of serving the alcohol,,they must also order food, you can't go in and just drink.
So some places would give that complimentary salsa and chips....though they ring it up as food, which is really against TABC.

I'll start with a coffee... straight.

Then, I'll probably move on to Garorade for a bit.

By halftime I'll be hitting the hard stuff... Mountain Dew.

After the game I will be sober as can be... with a heart rate of about 180 probably.
