About two weeks ago I awoke with a tiny pain in my arm.
Within a day the classic "bulleyes eye" pattern had developed.
Drs. said "Let it run its course, there no approved antidote"
Only a small area has turned black & rotten
I think I got off easy.

But absolutely NO (new) superpowers have been apparent so far.

I go back for a consult tomorrow

Try letting him bite you a second time. That will probably do it.
But just where would a person be willing for that second spider bite to be latd on them? They lay a cratering/ festering abscessed casing-liner of a wound !

If I never have to actually feel poison coursing thru me again... I'll die a happy dude
A distinctly unpleasant affect.
But I suppose I can cross it off my "never occurred to me" bucket list.

......

Based on your description, I must have dated a girl a while back who got bitten on the heart..... ;)

Fortunately, I got off easy as well. :D

Just a suggestion: SPRAY YOUR ROOM!

A guest at one of my conventions got bit on his upper inner thigh.
For some weird reason he didn't come back the next year.

It sure do.
But it's a cute little hole.
(I'm trying to talk nice to it)
Hopefully it won't become a festering sinkhole of death.

I read a few years ago that 15-30% of the population is immune to brown recluse bites and will react only a little bit, if they react at all.

Yet another superpower that I haven't been endowed with.

I got bit by a “Browning” I think. Still got the scar...you’re not gonna like what comes out of there. It’s like alien blood. It dissolves your tissue,so you’ll have a slight depression. I’ll get even with that little prick one day....suck HIS blood out and inject MY new lethal viruses into HIM!!! Looool

Actually, he should jump into a tub full of them. That works. Trust me. I know. ;)

A house I own is near a creek, very wet and damp. I was cleaning up rocks and bricks from an old sheds foundation and a Wolf Spider vitally jumped out and toward me. I about pissed myself. This thing was huge. I didn't think anyone would believe me when I told them so I did what any American would do. Trap it. I got a mud trowel and a mason jar and caught it.
My wife at the time had a 5 year. She liked bugs. So I put it in a 10 gallon aquarium and built it a nice resident. She lost interest, but my friend and I would feed it moths and it was brutal. This thing was savage. A week later, I went to climb a later in my shop and there's another one! So I thought they both should be friends. I put the new guy with the other. A day later the new one dead in a corner. It had to be around 2 or 3 weeks (IIRC) and the thing was toting around an egg sack.
I said F that and let a fogger off.
I have pics I'll post later.

I ran into a wolf spider in my parents kitchen once. As if I wasn't scared enough seeing that thing pop out for a quick hello, after I killed it about a hundred baby spiders scurried in every direction.

Nightmare fuel.

My brother was bitten badly on the arm by a Recluse back in the 90s, while he was on a construction job down in Corpus. Spent a couple weeks in the hospital. The docs were concerned that he might lose it. Luckily, the meds they pumped into him helped and he and his arm survived. Those things are scary nasty. Real nightmare stuff.

Paladin, good luck to you, sir. I sure hope you heal okay, and it doesn't get infected down inside, or whatever it is that happens that makes it so nasty, painful, and dangerous. My brother was one sick puppy from his bite, iirc he had high fever and everything. Glad you seem to be fairing better.
