I ran into a wolf spider in my parents kitchen once. As if I wasn't scared enough seeing that thing pop out for a quick hello, after I killed it about a hundred baby spiders scurried in every direction.
Nightmare fuel.
Our house has a terrible wolf spider problem certain times of the year. Pretty much the change of every season it seems like. We live in a rural area and our property/house is surrounded by woods, and we have about 20 Live Oaks and Birches in our immediate yard. I am so used to killing them inside our house, it's just second nature to me. lol. They curl up and die real quick with just one gentle swat of a shoe. I'm not afraid of them, which is odd because I was bitten by a wolf spider back in 2008 and was in agony for over a week and could barely walk or sit (bitten on back of upper thigh, I sat on the damn thing, on our garden swing, lol). I still have the scar from it. The funny thing is, although I am not afraid of wolf spiders even after that, I am terrified to phobia levels of flying cockroaches. lol. Those darned things terrorized me as a child!
