Did you have ATT Uverse before they bought out DTV?
no..had Dish but after waiting a year for them to add Internet in my area..

I just got tired of waiting as I bought a Smart TV back around Xmas to stream everything but Dish never came thru.

So I'm outta thereeeeeeeeeee !!!!!!!

btw, this is what I pay.
  • 105MB Internet $75/month ~ Comcast
  • Home Phone (VoIP) $8.44/month ~ Phone Power
  • Mobile Unlimited Talk/Text + Internet $30/month ~ Google's Project Fi
  • Netflix (4K service) $12/month
  • Amazon Prime Streaming ($0, I get it for the free 2-day shipping. The streaming is is the icing on the cake)
  • Whatever Sports streaming I want that year. (MLB/NHL/NFL)
  • Boatloads of free channels on my Roku's
Talk a bit about your Roku setup.

I tried installing some custom channels for streaming TV, but all the options were really janky and worked maybe 15% of the time.

I can understand if you dont like RedZone, but what does it have to do with Fantasy football? I hate fantasy football, never have played it, never will....but I LOVE RedZone for all games besides the Cowboys, it has nothing to do with Fantasy Football.....I wish theyd do somethin like it for College....

Most people love red zone bc it lets them watch their fantasy players score...that's basically why RZ is so popular..if you watch it for different reasons than that's fine...I play fantasy football myself...but I love football for the game itself..I dont love football bc of fantasy football..many others do

But to each their own

Been a DTV customer since 1992
always recommend
biggest complaint is lack of pac-12 network
they are trying to keep up with wireless technology. they have so much demand and program rewinds there is a little delay with channel changing.
i will keep it until it goes under, which some say will be this decade

I guess, but its not like they go "oh hey Odell Beckham might could be fixin to score, lets show that because alot of people have him!"...they show, or at least try to show every TD, no matter who it is who scores it....and the ones they dont show live, you get to at least see within seconds of it happening....unlike the "game breaks" during Fox and CBS broadcasts, where they sometimes show highlights that have happened like 15 minutes ago.....When I watch RedZone, it feels like Im watching every game, as opposed to just one.....of course, for a Cowboys game Im glued to it, and only it from start to finish....

I'm not talking about the channel showing certain players..I'm talking about people only watching red zone bc they care about their fantasy football games..or their daily fantasy games

That's not football

Besides the apps I noted, I've used Crackle, though the ads are annoying. My most heavily used app note listed though is Plex. My buddy has more content on Plex than Netflix has in it's entire library. That said, if it's on Netflix or Amazon or whatever. I tend to watch it there instead of on his Plex server.

As for working. The only ones that had content that I enjoyed watching that I had the most trouble with was NASA Channel. They used to have an HD channel that I believe is now defunct. Now they just have their normal channel, but I really only watch it during launches / landings / or other major events. (Pluto fly by, Juno arrival, etc)

I do Netflix and Playstation Vue.

50.00 a month between the two and I can watch anything and everything I want.

I see absolutely zero reason to give DirecTV or Dish or Cable One or any of those companies another penny of my money.

I went the other direction.

Cut the cord, and I've never been happier.

I too once had a good DirecTV deal, and I'd been a customer for probably almost a decade at that point.

But my bill just kept creeping higher and higher. I'd been paying almost $140 a month by the time I decided enough was enough.

I'll put my $1,700 saved a year towards a nice trip with the wife - in fact we have a west coast road trip coming up in October.

I, instead, spent 23 bucks on a powered high def antenna. Been watching all of the Olympic stuff in high def and it's been fantastic.

Going to SF by chance? We're headed out there for the game on 10/2.

Netflix and Vue offer Sunday Ticket now?

lol. Lord no.

But I don't want, or need that. I can watch all the games I need on regular TV channels.

I had Sunday Ticket for free a couple years ago and I never really used it at all.
