Got my "Star" tattoo redone today...

Got it re-outlined and colored today......................

It needed freshening up anyway, but it was like a mental re-newel for me I guess. My own way of closing down this season and saying "alright, lets get it on for 2008".
Gotta' think something, might as well be positive.
Don't know if I'm even gonna' watch the NFC game tomorrow. Could care less. It's a bad year for football when the two best teams are the shot-out Farve-led packers, and the Eli Manning-led San Francisco Giants.
What a tragedy for pro football....................

That's the spirit. Look to the future. I'll be glad when the Super Bowl is over and done. It's hard to hear so much about it when I know the Cowboys should've been in the thick of things. However, it's amazing how many other things I can find to do on Sundays when the Cowboys season has ended.

Now I love the Cowboys, but no how, no way, do I get any corporation logo etched permanently in my skin. That's like getting the Coca-Cola logo tattooed because you love drinking Cokes.

However, I (like you) have been dreading today, I had finally gotten past the loss but the closer we got to Sunday and I realized the freaking Giants would be playing and we wouldn't, it's starting to make me pissed again.

It's not the lighting. You have to keep a fresh tattoo "wet" with a balm or cream as long as possible directly after completion. The longer you you do this, even up to a month or longer, the better your tattoo will look and retain it's original color and design over the long haul. When you have "color" (anything other than black), you should keep it covered or "sunblocked" up to six months when in the sun light.
My Star had faded a little over the years to almost a powder blue......and the white outline was fading too.
"Encore" has a serious tattoo there. About the same size as mine, but I don't have the "COWBOYS" wording, just the Star. That thing took probably over 5 or 6 hours to complete, with probably a double go 'round of the coloring. It's a good tattoo as far as quality goes...............and an excellent tattoo with regard to SUBJECT!!!!!!!! He also opted to use his own skin color in lieu of the white coloring outlining the star. Good choice, because it eliminated more time, more pain, and the chance of color overlap and repair.

I use my Star tattoo when I run into another Cowboy fan. I show 'em the Star and tease about not being "one of us" until you brand it into your body!! NOW, and only NOW, are you a "lifer"!!!!!
