Gotta go 8-3 from here

That dark cloud is darkening.

When you look at the NFC, it's likely going to take 10-6 to make the playoffs.

The Cowboys aren't going to sweep the Eagles or Commanders. They're not going to beat Atlanta or Kansas City. The Seahawks are daunting, too, because Dak struggles mightily against good defenses.

Right now, the season smells like 8-8 at best, but 7-9 or 6-10 most likely.

Last year's easy schedule gave us false hope and impressions.

Sure hope a tie-breaker with the Rams doesn't come into play.
Along those lines, it seems those 8 more wins may need to include at least 1 vs either Seattle or Atlanta.
That is, if we don't win the division.

6-10, Top 10 pick, new coaching staff isn't exactly a bad place to be.

I can't root for them to lose but I also am not blind to the benefits long term if this season goes in the pooper.
This. I will never root for them to lose, but I'd rather them go 6-10 (or worse) than, say, 8-8. I just can't see this team going 8-3 from here on out. I hope I'm wrong, though.

9-7 and in the playoff hunt until the week most likely.

We knew this 2017 roster had a good chance of falling back from 2016.

There's still hope. Yesterday offense against a lesser defense back to 2016 form and while our defense is worse with new secondary and without Lee DL is better. And we won't be facing Rodgers each week.

We must have a solid #2 receiver , can't count on Lee for a season and Smith prob a backup at LB which should be a focus next draft.

They need a safety, maybe two LBs, a real 1 tech, a new TE, a new #2 WR, and probably a legit OG or OT.

At least we have Dak who is clearly for real.

Likely have to win 3 out of the next 4.

Which means they have to win one of the KC or @Atl games. And that includes winning in Washington.

This season is looking like it could get sideways fast.
