Who is the guy in front of Dez? I recognize everybody else.

Loved Dez's play on the final drive but he sure had trouble catching and holding on to the ball today! I'm sure the weather had something to do with that, but if he really wants to be regarded as one of the two or three best receivers in the game he has to clean that up. I don't think anyone questions his potential to be one of the best, but he must be more consistent to get that recognition. Of course, he also has to get the targets to show that but he got them today.

You're right, he should have given up after that and went to the locker room early.
Dez is a young, improving player and quite a physical talent - if he can just play with a little more focus and awareness i think he should have those opportunities at the expense of others, I do.....
Great picture!
To add.. I saw some encouraging signs yesterday. For the first time all season, they lined Dez up in the slot. I want to see more maturation of the efforts to get him open. That is the key to maintaining a vibrant successful offense. If you can't consistency beat double teams to spring your best WR open, you aren't going to be moving many balls.

Broadus did a nice write up from game film study of the final game winning drive detailing the formations and how players lined up and/or shifted to do this. Its on dallascowboys.com -
I only caught and agree with the piece I quoted. Yes. DEZ would like to be the man. It would benefit the staff and the team to ensure his touches are plentiful. He is, far and above, the best WR to wear the uniform in several years. Get him some consistent touches. Create a game plan that springs him open regularly. Other teams do it. Why can't we? Work some bunch formations and pick him into open space. Once again, many other very successful teams do it with regularity today. Why can't we?
Sure.. I was just as pissed off at the next guy at his multiple blunders yesterday. Fortunately for my psyche, I prefer to evaluate his breadth of work without holding him over the coals for every mistake while also understanding what you said earlier. He is a "young improving player". I would also add intense, hungry, and passionate to the list of adjectives. That passion is rubbing off on others and, dare I say, exhibiting some early signs of leadership.
I was not loving dez tonight. Glad for the win. But if you want the ball more then u need to catch it in clutch situations and not be responsible for 2 turnovers. Well the fumble was not a turnover because it went out of bounds. Just a 40 yard loss that takes you out of fg range and allows the opponent an easy td.

I'll add if I may "the man" had a similar play happen to him and it did cost his team the game. So it can happen to anyone . Dez more than made up for his mistakes. That back shoulder fade catch on third down was not an easy one.
this team genuinely looks like they enjoy being around each other.
