I for one am pumped.

1. We were a blown call away from the NFC Championship game with no pass rush and no linebackers.
2. We significantly upgraded our defensive line
3. We upgraded our strongest link the offensive line
4. We will be getting back an all-pro type linebacker and added a ton of depth to the position
5. We upgraded our secondary
6. Here are some names I look really forward to seeing their games go to the next level. Beasley, Patmon, Bishop, Lawrence, Hitchens, Wilcox
7. The only downer to the offseason for me was loosing Murray but I agree that he got way too much and he did slow down a lot at the end of the year. How much of that was due to the hand injury I am not sure but he seemed like he had little burst to get to the holes provided. I am not as excited to see Randle as others are because I hate the idea of a bone head being our starting tailback but I will give him a pass and hope that he knows his third strike will be his last. The guy can run and I believe he is tougher than most think and he will be able to get the dirty yards.

Just very excited for this season to get here because we have significantly upgraded a team that was one stupid call away from possibly going to the SB. Go Cowboys!

No offseason is ever perfect, and we ll it at that, but this team has so much mroe to look forward to, I feel taking the biggest jump in improvement with minimal but expected set backs.

Wish we still had Bruce Carter though.

I agree on paper, but he's exactly the kind of player that will kick back and take it easy now that he's got his money. He's one of those guys you just don't pay.

Dez is the exact opposite.

The only thing missing would have been All Day coming home. Even without that very hard pressed not being on pins and needles for this season to start based on this year's expectattions and last year's success!

It has been fansplained to me several times but I still look uncertain at the 1tech DT.

We can still build through the 2016 draft but thats not the point of this post.
thanks for the comments

I saw the handling of DeMarco and Dez as the biggest issue this offseason, and I think they handled (and are continuing to handle) each superbly.

What planet are you living on? they let Murray go.(he was the NFL offensive player of the year) and you have a unhappy pissed off DEz who you refused to give a long term contract. that's not good. on the rest of your post i agree. the D-Line is going to be good.

No 6 - 10 from me this year.

No gloom and doom predictions from me this time around but I am keeping my expectations in check until I see how the running game starts shaping out without Murray and how quickly the rookies start coming along.

Even had Dez' play stood Aaron Rodgers still would have had well over 3 minutes to continue dissecting the Cowboys defense to pull out the win. Even after the Cowboys failed 4th down attempt the Packers moved from their own 33 to the Cowboys 28 just trying to milk the clock. We won't know how upgraded the DL or secondary is until the games start. You have to expect some growing pains from the rookies and a lot will be expected of Gregory early on with Hardy out 10 games as it stands now. McClain suspended the first 4 games is a big loss and who knows how much longer he'll remain with the team.

Although Sean Lee is back who knows for how long and how effective he will be after a full year off rehabbing an ACL. I do like a lot of the moves the Cowboys made but losing Murray was a big loss and if the running game takes a significant hit the Cowboys are going to have a tough time duplicating and surpassing the season they had in 2014. The team still has a number of question marks so it's best to be cautious with the expectations until we see how things start shaping up in camp and preseason.
