taking into consideration, how the defense played, his ability to overcome mistakes, and his decision making.

Don't just look at the stats and make a grade. Thank you.

@Carolina - I'll give him a B+

@Washington - I'll give him a B-

@Arizona - I'll give him a A-

Indianapolis - I'll give him a B-

Tampa Bay - I'll give him a A

thoughts?

So his overall grade then is around a B+ (looking at your individual game grades)?

I would give him a solid A grade overall. He does lead the NFL in passer rating, for example. Not to mention all the "intangibles" he brings to the table (e.g., rescuing our season!)

I gave him those grade's because i expect him to improve, i know its hard to imagine a better Romo right now, but that's what i feel like will happen over time. He will play even better

I give him an A in each of the games, Romo took over in a pressure situation and has ran the offense very well. The simple fact that an UDFA has performed better than many 1st rd picks with as much experiance and in some cases a lot more experance as Romo has is almost unheard of in the NFL. The kid has been remarkable

@ Carolina: A-, early interception hurt, but he took over the game in the 4th quarter
@ Washington: A+, he was a dropped TO pass from 350 yards and 3 TDs in a road division game. He led what should of been a game winning drive, but we all know what happened.
@ Arizona: A, He almost threw a bone headed pick six on a fake spike, but he made nice deep TD throws to Crayton and TO
Indianapolis: A, an insane completion percentage and two 4th quarter TD drives, along with icing the game. The one INT keeps this game from being perfect.
Tampa Bay: A, not perfect because Tampa Bay was wounded and some of the TDs came easy. But hey, 5 TDs is 5 TDs.

This might look kind of homeristic, but the numbers back it up at this point.

How can the guy who leads the NFL in passer rating receive anything but A's across the board?

I have no problem giving him A's in the other games, but the Indy game I would rate him in the B range. He was involved in 2 turnovers (remember the fumble), and the offense scored 0 points in 3 quarters. He was clutch in the end, but it was the defense that kept the Cowboys in the game IMHO by forcing all those turnovers and scoring that touchdown. Without that stellar defensive effort, the game would have been a blowout loss.

despite the completion percentage... I give him a B for the Indy game as his worst start to date. The one bad INT, the lost fumble, and the INT called back on the throw to Glenn.

The 4th Quarter however was brilliant.

The Skins game- A. He made several game winning throws that just weren't in the cards and made no mistakes that could hurt the team. He converted a ridiculous amount of 3rd downs.

Tampa game- A+. Nuff said
Carolina- A-. Made one bonehead play but played magnificently ever after.
