Not sure how this will go over ,but how about everyone giving the Boys a grade every week and a little explanation of why the mark.

I'll try to start it after every game.

Just a Thought.

1st Week-- A,:star: too many penalties for an A+, but for the first game of the season and playing away from home, over all, a very good outing .

A-

penalties

Romo had a redzone INT.

these two cost them an A+

I'd give them an A also. They wouldn't have to be perfect to get an A+ but you can't have that many penalties and a dumb interception.

Having said that, this was a very, very convincing win.

Overall Grade: B+/A-

Didn't like:
- Romo's INT in redzone
- Pacmans fumble on special teams
- Defensive penalties keeping drives alive

too many holes in the secondary...we were bailed out by alot of drops

not enough pressure on the QB

too many penalties, although some were pretty ticky

Romo with two bad redzone throws, one cost us a chance to step on them and put them away earlier

Barber injury is definitely all the matters now

A-/B+

-Too many penalties
-Romo's endzone pick
-Letting the Browns have a sliver of hope before Romeo's brain-dead FG choice. Should have been an absolute blowout.

Still, very positive day. All said, we soundly beat a potential playoff team on the road.

And the grade is ____.;)

A.

I dock them a little for the penalties, althought some of them were understandable, particularly in the first game of the season on the road. Tough to ask for more from a team that dominated a team that went 10-6 last year, in particular 7-0 at home with their current starting QB.

YAKUZA

B+. Tony got carried away on the endzone throw. Better decision would have been to throw it away and kick the field goal. No matter. Offense: B+

A few too many penalites and a couple broken coverages, but overall the defense was solid. Decent pressure, stout vs run... lacked play making.

Defense: B

This was a title contending team on display today- not world beating, but very very good.

B+

-Costly penalties
-Stout run D

-Good Run game
-Good passing game
-Beat a team they should have beaten

Screw grades we are one of the best teams in football.

A+, 10, 100%

What ever. Dallas just isn't a team you want to play.

They beat a pretty good AFC team that was 7-1 at home last year by 18

A

B+

I'll list my reasons it's not a higher grade

Interception

Penalties

Proctor was manhandled severaql times

Browns dropped some balls and Anderson threw the one pass way to hard.

Browns started 1st and 15 several times and that allowed us to get stops.

Secondary was confused on the TD pass

The first 2nd half posession was an out of sync 3 and out, that easily could have allowed them back into the game, they had the crowd back and the ball in great field position. I'd loved to have seen a scoring drive, but few first downs would have demoralized them.

Very solid and close to spectacular

A-

I agree with the penalties and the endzone pick. For a first game it was better than expected.

I hope Goose enjoys that 33-31 prediction of his; I know he says he always picks the home team, but IMO, it's a cop-out. :)

A

487 yards offense, 206 yards allowed.

28-10 score, 21-7 at the half.

On the road.

Yes, they were -1 on turnovers and had too many penalties. But you don't have to be perfect to get an A.

A+ to me is beating the skins or beagles 63-0.

A would be destroying the Giants 56-0.

So my standards are a lot higher.

B for the first game of the season.

Proctor got eaten up in the second half.
Pacman still has rust.
Romo has GOT to stop the redzone picks.
PENALTIES.

BUT overall the boys
Did well.

The offense was perfect save three things:
1) Romo's goal line INT. I'm willing for forgive and forget given there was a guy about to plaster him.
2) Romo getting dinged.
3) Barber getting dinged.

So, an A.

Defensively, they got the job done, which is what matters most. I thought the pressure, despite the lack of sacks, was more constant than last year. Thought Thomas really did a great job in this department. Coverage benefitted from many Cleveland mistakes, but without Newman, you knew the DBs would be shaky at times. I'd say a solid B.

Pacman was a non-factor on special teams, but the coverage units seemed much improved. A B- here.

Lastly, we stunk in the penalties department, though the refs didn't do us any favors. F here.
