A for talent
C- for upgrading the team

Booker replaces Martin but they already had a replacement.
Dono Ez not sure who or if he replaces anyone if Kneeland replaced DLaw.
Parsons, Donovan Ez, Fowler, Kneeland, SWilliams nice depth, but ......

Sharon replaces Lewis. Lewis will be better for a few more years.

Where is the upgrade? Where do they stop the run? What Mike controls the D and leads?

Good players but not sure the team is any better.
Agree
A for the talent

They will still be third in the East
But this might be the direction they need to take
Might take another Draft or two to get back to the top of the East

I went B.

Really wish they had found a way to draft a RB.

If they make a deal post draft for Breece Hall, for like a 2026 3rd Round Pick, I'd give this draft an A.
There were whispers about a Hall trade, but the Jets haven't drafted a RB either. If NY grabs a RB early today, I could see them moving Hall. If not, trading away their starting RB, who's on a rookie deal, doesn't really make sense.

There are two ways to look at this draft so far. Did they draft good players, and are these players what is best for the Dallas Cowboys? Of course no evaluation means anything until a couple of years pass and we know what these players are in the NFL, and it is said the Cowboys were big on character which is hard for us to measure.

I think these 3 picks are all good players. But I would argue, they are not good picks for the Dallas Cowboys. Or at least, I don't understand them.

Take Booker. The Cowboys had Hoffman, Bass, Nathan Thomas, Asim Richards and Earl Bostick on the roster already. They acquired Hakeem Adeniji, Saadiq Charles, and Robert Jones in the off season. Booker is getting the starting RG job. Jerry already said so. Some people have him penciled in as an all-pro already. Some of the players the Cowboys had will have to be released. That was before they drafted Booker. So why sign Charles, and Jones? Backups? I think Booker was a reach at 12, which is not bad if they were really in love with him and figured he would be gone at 44. But is he really going to make a huge difference with the Cowboys? We cannot assume that because he is 1 first round pick he will step in and surpass Hoffman or be the next Zack Martin.

I have the same problem with Ezeiruaku. Good player. Might even be a great player. But they have Sam Williams who we know is fast. They drafted Kneeland last year. They signed Dante Fowler. and they they signed Payton Turner. Maybe the plan is to trad Sam Williams? I don't know that Ezeiruaku adds that much to the defense.

Revell is a stud, I think. But he is coming off a knee injury. In this case we already have an abundance of CBs coming off knee injuries. And we traded for Elam. I love the player and if he was healthy it would be a great selection. But how does he help the CB problem at the start of the season? He is only running in a straight line right now, but it is only April. He still has 4 months to complete his recovery from knee surgery. Still it seems like this is not the best pick for Dallas.

Now, we still need DT, RB, WR and LB help. We have 7 picks remaining but with no 4th round pick, what's going to be left in the last 3 rounds?

If this is a build for the future draft, then Dallas is doing a fine job. If they are looking to help the team in 2025, I don't know that they moved the needle that much if at all.

Not only does the team disagree they took two guards that should tell you something

B. Absolutely love Donovan Ezeirukau pick. But with drafting Revel in 3, we are going to rtrot out the exact same offense as last year, with a new G and minus Cooks. We NEED to make a move at RB and WR.
Chances are good they run 12 personnel up to 35-40% if not even more making it the base offense!

Tells me they disagree. Nothing else. I can point out stupid and smart decisions they have made over the years. In the end it doesn't matter what my opinion is, they choose and they either prove they are smarter or not so smart. For the last 30 years you decide.

I think the Cowboys plan to bulk up their OL and go to more of a power line over a finesse line. I don’t think we are that happy with our OTs. I can see one of the starting tackles being shipped out in a trade. Maybe Tyler Smith goes out to LOT and Guyton flips over to the right side.

There’s a lot of smoke there for there not to be a fire. Cowboys will acquire lower picks for some of these guys and it may or may not be the guys you expect it to be.
