B

Spencer was a good pick, we added depth to the OL. We got some projects everywhere else. If one of them works out we have an A in this draft. Getting 2 first rounders for next year may make this an A also.

B. With the Cleveland pick. Without it, C+. A lot of potential, several totally unknowns. The only pick that I really did not like was Anderson; I thought there were better FBs out there.

I give our Draft a D.

Spencer saves the draft.

Failure to draft a blue chip DB, NT, or LB ultimately doomed our draft.

ummmmm.....?

I say B

I really liked the Spencer, Marten, Free and Brown alot. I'm not to sure of the QB/WR and K picks. And uncertain about the the FB pick. But overall I feel we have done some very nice thing to improve the team.

And the 2008 #1 pick is priceless.

B+

The only pick that I question is Stanback but I can live with it because he's a great athlete.

I have no problems with the kicker and fb. Folk will be an upgrade over Grammy and consider Polite and Hoyte gone.

I would have liked a cb earlier but like many have said Spencer helps the secondary.

The #1 next year is gravy.

C+ - I love the #1 next season, but we had a chance to draft a quality player at WR or safety, two serious needs, but we passed. Granted, if Hamlin or Watkins is the answer and TO, Glenn and Crayton all stay healthy, this is a moot point. And oh yeah, I like the Spencer pick. We sorely need another pass rusher to complement Ware.

idk what it is about Brown - something about his interview, combined with his stats and articles, got me excited.

I gave us a B because of next year's #1 pick, Spencer and our selection of 2 OTs. Also like Brown and maybe Folk isn't a bad pick but.... don't like the Anderson nor Stanbach picks at all. Ball pick is okay.

Grade: B

Solid first day. A top-level pass rushing DE/LB in Spencer. Versatile offensive line help in Martens.

Good second day. Free is another good potential offensive lineman. Stanbeck is another Skyler Green-like question mark, but the potential is there to take advantage of his multi-positional abilities. I like Folk as a kickoff specialist because I don't see him unseating Gammatica as a rookie. Then again, I don't like wasting a roster spot on TWO kickers. Anderson is admittedly a head scratcher. And obviously, Brown and Ball are what Phillips and Jones intended them to be: rookie backups to Henry, Newman & Glenn. The confidence in the latter three is blindly clear at this stage and the same can be said of the team's top three receivers.

Jerry's pet cat has a name: Stanback

The Cowboys had a very nice Day 1.

I'm fine with the picks except for where Stanback was drafted. He was a reach.

And I sincerely hope the Cowboys have a plan for Ferguson's backup. I'm disappointed that the NT position wasn't addressed.

I agree 100%. They better be on the phone with some NT's right now.

I'm loving the Free and Brown picks. I think Brown is going to shock some people.

Future starters:

Spencer
Marten
Free
Brown

Kicker of the future in Folk

Next years 1st rounder from Cleveland (top 10 pick at worst)

That adds up to a pretty darn good draft.

Subject to change, my grade is a solid B+ possibly higher based on next years Cleveland's pick.
