I think the draft picks used on veteran players should be added in to that year's draft. Otherwise where did those picks go?

So feel free to add in Brandin Cooks, Stephon Gilmore and Johnathan Hankins if you want. Or don't, if you don't agree with me. It's your call.

If you want to add a + or - to your grade post it in the thread. Too many options for a poll.

1(26) Mazi Smith DT Michigan
2(58) Luke Schoonmaker TE Michigan
3(90) DeMarvion Overshown LB Texas
4(129) Viliami Fehoko DE San Jose St.
5(169) Asim Richards T North Carolina
6(178) Eric Scott Jr. CB Southern Miss
6(212) Deuce Vaughn RB Kansas St.
7(244) Jalen Brooks WR South Carolina
Lost 2024 5th Round Pick (Kansas City)

With the vet players: B
Without: D+
Yah this was very underwhelming overall. NO guard, not even a RB? This was completely puzzling. Like Mazi and even the TE if they were going to continue on the run game theme.

These clowns obviously think they are going to dominate the NFL in the run game with Pollard, Jones, and this ancient flawed Oline?

Scary stuff.

Agree. B with D without including the Vet trades. So, I averaged it and went with C.

Best pick- Duece

Worst pick - the stiff CB that runs a 4.7. We traded away a 5th to move up in the 6th to draft a player they likely could've signed after the draft. Head-scratching.

Still not a fan of Schoonmaker. Not much of a YAC TE. Blocking is important but imo they drafted what they already got with maybe a hint of more athletism.

No real opinion on Overshown. Day 3 at this point is just drafting hoping you found a diamond/depth / niche players.

B-

A trenches, depth and role player draft.

Nothing wrong with that when you're picking at the end of each round. Honestly, something the Cowboys might have needed to do for a while.

I mean, it's not a Special Teams Draft. :laugh::laugh:

I see it as a D.

-Mazi was a need, but he's a major risk.
-Schoonmaker is a very old rook at a very slow-developing position. Hate that combo, even if his size and speed will one day play.
-Overshown is a reasonable gamble. Quinn has a plan for him.
-I have little hope for anyone we picked on Day 3. There's not a Biadasz or a Damone Clark here that I can get stoked about. Lots of Bradlee Anaes and Reggie Robinsons.
-No guard drafted... enjoy watching Matt Farnoik try to block Dexter Lawrence and Jalen Carter.
-Deuce is the only RB drafted, so we're going to feed 100+ carries to RoJo or the corpse of Zeke. There were cheap options to upgrade, and we passed on them to draft a backup to Golston.

It's not the '09 special teams draft, but there's a very good chance we get one starter out of this class, and everyone in this class is gone in 5 years.

Take out the 1st and 4th round picks and it's a d-, either them it's a c.

This is a draft that will really help the team now with mazi but in 3 years when only 2 or 3 players are left on the roster it's going to hurt

I don't know enough about these players to give an honest grade. Going strictly off the vet signings, l don't think this team drastically improved, especially since our QB is a turnover machine. I'm sure the coaching staff knows much more about these guys than we do. But will this team be good enough to compete with the Eagles and 9ers? I don't think so...
