Gave it a B+ based on their intended "strategy" as detailed by Stephen, No-Schott and Parker.

But's it an "F" as regards getting this team to post-season success. We got the choker and he's the main reason we have a "win-now" strategy. It's all doomed to fail.

B-

Because he is a good player but…

Trading for CB when biggest needs are stopping the run and QB pressure

Giving up a rd2 pick and no contract means he will hold out and get 30 million which will be a huge over pay

As far as compensation goes, it's pretty good.

Preserved our limited resources in the talent rich 2027 draft. Kick the can down to 2028.

By that point, if JPJ is no longer on the team, then a comp pick my be a decent consolation.

And if JPJ is awesome, then we only gave up a 2nd that we were going to waste anyway.

A-

B plus. As dependent upon a contract extension. Which they should have planned out.

B+

He’s arguably a top 10 CB in the league and he cost a 6th, and a 2nd two years from now. The chances of getting someone of his talent with either of those picks would be in the single-digit percentile.

I’m not giving it an A- because I’d prefer we traded for a DL or LB. And he obviously needs a new contract. The rumor I’ve seen is he does not want to set a record or anything, but he does want more guaranteed than Pittsburgh was willing to pay.

If Parker lets Porter play to his strengths often (man coverage), which would allow Downs to be freed up more to become the menace he was in college, then it’s an A+ trade.

JPJ is the true CB1 that we were all hoping Bland would magically become or Revel would develop into.

I have it a B. The only reason it’s not an A is because he is on the last year of his deal
And needs to be extended. If he was locked up already it would be an A

B plus only because they need to sign him long term. Or else I would have said A.

This team was going to have to draft another corner at some point anyway. Getting Porter for a future second instead of another Kelvin Joseph in the 2nd is a win.

C that can Turn into an f if he isn't signed. Good player that probably won't help our problems on defense. If there's a fight over a new contract, well at least it will be familiar.

If he leaves at the end of the season without a contract extension and we get back a 3rd rounder… it would be a C-
If he signs a contract extension, it an A.

Well he's got skins on the wall."how about wow" read his stats It is impressive. Not top three but solid work against number one receivers I gave it an a

I don't think some of you guys realize how bad th d compensation was for him. A 2028 second rounder is the value of a 3rd rounder in 2027 if not worse.

This is an A because it gives up everything we wont get. Our FANS love this.

It doesnt put us in the playoffs. It doesnt immediately upgrade the defense, because there are still heavy wounds that arent solved.

Its going to be expensive to keep him when and if we need it, if the defense fixes itself hes on the end of his current deal. He might walk if he has a decent year.

We love giving away draft picks, regardless of where they are at, less is better for us. We always hit home runs in Free Agency, who needs the draft.

I still don’t understand why people worry about the picks.

The entire point of draft picks is to hope to draft good players.

The odds of landing a CB of Porters caliber in the 2nd round are very low.
