There are a lot of mocks out there and maybe we need to post, grade and discuss some of the more unique ones.

https://www.draftsite.com/nfl/dallas/22/

1 28 Charles Harris* DE Missouri 6' 3" 260
2 60 Tanoh Kpassagnon DE Villanova 6' 5" 285
3 92 Zay Jones WR East Carolina 6' 1" 195
4 133 Josh Harvey-Clemons S Louisville 6' 5" 228
6 211 Jalen Reeves-Maybin OLB Tennessee 6' 0" 230
7 228 Tony Conner CB Mississippi 6' 0" 215
7 246 Greg Ward Jr. WR Houston 5' 10" 185

I would really like this one if they did not consider Tony Conner a corner. The first three picks look excellent. If this were our draft it would get a good solid B from me.

I'd do something different at 60. Especially with taking Harris in the first round. For that alone I'd give it no better than a B-.

Yeah, while taking back to back ends sounds good in theory, Tanoh would be a redshirt player his 1st year unless someone gets hurt or there's an unexpected cut. Give me BPA CB, S, DT or TE at 60 instead.

Harris and Jones I'd be perfectly fine with. I don't know much about Harvey-Clemons but I tend to be wary of these freakishly big S's in the draft. If he was a good football player at that size he wouldn't be available in the 4th.

On Josh Harvey-Clemons

SOURCES TELL US

"I love the athlete and the toughness, but he's a multiple-time (drug) tester on the college level. Those guys have a high rate of testing positive again. I need to do more background work on him but I really worry about suspensions for him." -- AFC North area scout

His size/athletic ability is intriguing though.

Don't see us taking back DEs to start the draft. Think we'll roll the dice again at least at one end spot with guys already on the squad.
Harris/Tapper/Mayowa at RDE, Irving/Law/Crawford? at LDE

Zay Jones fits the size we look for at WR, but the knack on him is speed and separation from DBs from what I've read. Good hands though.

I like zay jones but he seems like a slot guy though.he wont be a ideal replacement for twill.

B. Kpassagnon is too much of a project for me to take at #60. I like Reeves-Maybin, he's the quintessential Tampa 2 linebacker.

JRM likely has a chronic shoulder issue, and would be available much later in the draft.

Yeah, I've watched him and he's an impressive athlete with great size. I'm just not sure I see the explosiveness to excel at DE or the power to move inside. That could change quickly with good coaching and the fact that he's a super smart kid (double major). I don't personally think he's ready to contribute too much right out of the gate. In a draft this deep I'd hope for a little more with our 2nd round pick.

He was the pick that struck me as a waste. This team always has far too many weakside linebackers on the roster as it is.
