Donovan Jackson at 24. I'll bump it to a B+. If you decided you needed to draft a starting guard in this draft, you unfortunately needed to go at 12. People might say you should have traded back, but according to what I've heard, the team offering to trade up to 12 was Houston & you would have been cleaned out at guard barring a butterfly effect.

Not a sexy pick, but I will never blame them for building the trenches.

I realize people assume he will be a RG, but he also could plug in at LG, and allow Smith to shift to LT, and Guyton and Steele to fight it out at RT. We drafted Smith to play LT and if Guyton can’t develop, then Booker gives us a plan B.

The bottom line is we got better along the OL, and we have some solid depth as well.

The next two picks will make or break the draft. If we can grab a starting caliber CB and a RB, then I think we can head into Sat feeling pretty good.

Compared to the last two draft picks, this is a high floor draft pick. Win now, no projection. That's what you need in this 3-4 year window with your overpriced 60m dollar QB.

This is a great point. The team believes in their investment at skill positions -- Qb, Wr, DE, CB -- and wants to double down on each of them by making their lives easier.

It’s fine. U can never go wrong with a top rated lineman. He’s going to start and we don’t need to worry about OL for a while ! A solid unspectacular pick!

A- for the player
D for the value, Guard at #12 is insanity

My final grade was a C- but should have been an F because Grant went right after. Again, I like the player but it really doesn’t move the needle next season. Grant or another DT would have helped the run defense massively.

Going by all the rankings I've seen,he was rated the best guard in the draft and going by some of the mock drafts I've looked at,a lot of them had him being drafted in the top 15,so I gave it an a minus.

B+. He is a plug and play guy who can fill the RG hole. People thinking TJ Bass could be as good a starter instead of a solid backup won’t like this.

We still need some immediate help at WR, RB and DT. I would have preferred a trade down but maybe that wasn’t a real option.

Plus no player can be accurately graded on draft night.
According to Nick Harris they tried to trade down that's why they waited until the last minute to turn the card in. Houston Texas made an offer but just wasn't good enough. So they made the pick. No it's not the sexy pic some fans like to see but he's a damn good football player it's going to help us win a lot of games

There's an eastcoast spy working in Dallas! Who works on the Cowboys staff that leaks our picks? How'd they know Cowboys were going Felix Jones pick 22, Vander Esch, Booker, etc, etc.

No one finds it weird that everyone knows who were taking?

Or should I be more disappointed that we draft for need at pick #12 and not BPA?? Trade down Dallas, awful.

This pick is an A+ for me. The team has shown what they want to be since Shotty took over. They’re hiring the best Coaches and assistants to support a physical run first offense. This pick was not only a great player but the best pick to solidify that identity.

Agree or disagree with what the identity should be but man it is good to think we actually have one and one that is meant to be tough!

F

They couldve went in almost any other direction and received a higher grade from me. Yes you win in the trenches, but you dont need to continue to use your biggest resources on fixing the OL. Philly has the best OL in the league and none in the interior were first rounders.

And you cant even say he was BPA
