Grading the Assistants

So, we were able to get to 13-3 with a C+ coordinators and assistants. Does that mean Garrett gets an A+?

Football is such a team sport and these guys make zero personnel decisions. Linehan/Wilson should get an A+ because of Dak, not in spite of him.

But for the most of the post I see where you're coming from YR..good topic too.

I agree for the most part, although I might drop Linehan a full letter.
Scott came in and developed a horizontal passing attack to allow Romo to flourish with his bad back. Season 2 he ran the same offense even though defenses had solved it and were pressing everything we tried to do.
Every time we had some success running, he began dink and dunk until we failed.
At the end of season 2 I was done with him.
Last year he showed some real flexibility by taking input from Garrett and Dak and developing and imaginative offense.
Inexplicably dumbing it back down every time we played the Giants. So at this point I give him a C+to B- I think this year tells the whole story.

The game has passed Woicik by. He may have had a great resume the last two decades but in today's game, also due to the CBA rule changes that have limited practice, he's a JAG now

As if other teams do not get hamstring injuries. Do you have any basis to make such a claim with? For example the number of injuries we experience as opposed to other teams? I mean it was only last season that people were talking about how lucky we were with injuries.

The grades seem prohibitively arbitrary and a lot of prospects are not even considered. As someone else pointed out grading position coaches is nigh impossible because of the various factors that go into their work that are out of their control.

Frankly when it comes down to it it's about the players that they have not developed which with this coaching staff is few and far between. Players that were drafted in the first 4 Rounds that have failed Gregory Escobar and Green.

I don't blame the coaches for Gregory's substance abuse issues or Green's rotator cuff issues. Then you throw in all of the mid too late round picks that have succeeded most recently with Brown the position coaches in my opinion deserve all the accolades that you could possibly throw up on them.

As for Woicik, the last few years than excellent terms of injury sustained. Does was hurt but at the same token he wasn't really with the team because of contract issues or something else and you can't really blame Romo for him but overall the teams starters play.

LOLOLOL

This nonsense was started by Joe Fans of teams with bad GMs. Especially bad GMs you can't fire.

The architect of your entire football operations. Overrated position.

You will never read a more idiotic statement on a sports forum.

Why is it that I feel that you would not acknowledge any success to the GM should we succeed?

Because he won't. He plays a character on this board that a lot find amusing so he keeps it up. Its unfortunate because sometimes he makes a great point but it gets buried in all the shtick. To sum his character up:

Dak=terrible
Wentz=deity
Hitchens=terrible
Swaim=terrible
Garrett=terrible
Jerry=terrible
success=luck
failure=Jerry/Garrett
Marinelli=overrated

Agree with him=trolling for likes
disagree with him=not a mature fan, needs to grow up.

At least @Alexander tries to use some facts around his pessimism and sarcasm.
