yeah this is a head-scratcher. Just a couple weeks ago, he was regarded as a guy climbing the draft boards as high as the 2nd round. Maybe there is an injury???

he's a little short at 6'1 but is a 300 pounder with with outstanding quickness, leverage and effort

I said earlier this week that he was being over-hyped a bit. He is a decent player but I'm not even certain what his best position would be. He's not a good option for a 3-4 DE as he does not have the length for 3-4 DE or the anchor for 3-4 NT. In the 4-3 he looks more like a 1tech but plays more like a 3tech. His anchor as a 1tech is not that great. He is really quick as a 1tech but as a 3tech his quickness is probably more average. I've suggested that he might be best losing weight and becoming a pure 3tech. He is the exact same height as Aaron Donald but weighs 19 more pounds. I would really like him in the 3tech role if he has the ability to get down to about 290 from 306.

I would think that defensive tackle is still on the list...I just wonder how that stacks against the running back position right now. Myself, higher up on the list.

Well if he is drafted by Dallas, maybe he can give some of the weight to Gregory.

I bet he goes early in the fourth, love to have the player but doubt we get him today.

DL have, in general, been underdrafted this year, relative to expectations. Leonard Williams, Malcom Brown, OO, Eli Harold and, of course, Gregory have all gone lower than anticipated. Jarrett's just another in a fairly long line.

In any case, I think he's perfect for what Marinelli wants in a 1-tech. More of a gap shooter than a guy who holds the point. As such, I still hold out hope that he'll be a Cowboy.
