Yes, she took two years of it in HS, and loved it. It is now her major with a minor in Library Science. I have a resident in one of my apartments who is deaf. She interprets for me.
I have even gone to sign language performing arts with her at the University of Arizona. I was unaware of the ways deaf people clap with their hands in the air. I thought that was outstandingly cool.
Monday we were walking our dog at a local park and 2 young ladies and 2 small kids wanted to pet her. She's very pretty. I noticed one of the young ladies was hearing impaired and I told my daughter. They immediately started talking to each other. That young girl was so thrilled to get to talk to someone. Her face lit up and she was really quite beautiful. Made me proud of my daughter.
