Grass Fields vs Turf

Jerry needs to get rid of the turf field in AT&T stadium and at the Star. It is well documented that turf is not safe for the players (I think Tyron's latest injury occurred on turf?).

We've read countless times about a player blowing an ACL or PCL or both as a result of playing on this type of field.

There is almost no maintenance required to my knowledge, so it's cheap. Owners would rather not have to pay year round for ground crews to maintain the fields. And it is easier to have multi uses (concerts, rodeos, and whatever other event Jerry brings into AT&T - $$$).

I wanna go another rout with the problem: when Dallas travels to stadiums that have grass they don't play as well as at AT&T. WRs don't run their routes as crisp. RBs don't cut or change directions as well. A badly manicured field can almost neutralize Micah's speed. Etc etc.

Seems crazy but our players don't seem to play as well on grass because they practice daily and play 8 home games on turf.

Or am I off base here?

... and given the fact OBJ blew two ACLs, I wouldn't be surprised if OBJ does not sign with the Cowboys:

Turf fields are a real concern. :(

Oh please don’t make this a turf vs grass issue. You know good and well that our WRs would continue to screw up the route. Our QB will continue to do what he does best, which is attempt to play hero ball and miserably fail. Our RB core will continue to sloppily get a few yards at best. There is no excuse for this team be it on grass or turf field and we are not going to get this team the benefit of the doubt on this excuse.

The ACL/PCL might have some merit to it but there is no definite research that is set in stone yet for this accusation. Again, let’s slam the brakes here and realize that this team has no excuses for the way they play every year, traveling or not.
