Great call to WIP Sports Radio in Philly

I generally just listen to WFAN out of NY City, but because of all the moves in Philly, I tuned in to 94 WIP Sports Talk Radio. This was late last night/ early this morning. I laughed so hard at this caller- he was very creative in his thinking. Here goes....(as him talking)

Yeah, well this debacle the last few days with the Eagles and Chip Kelly has left me shaking my head and asking WHY. And then I started to analyze everything and I think I came up with the answer. Here's my thinking. A few years ago the Eagles put together what was called 'The Dream Team'. And we all know that didn't work out. So, the team has decided to do the exact opposite and put together a Nightmare Team. Because that's exactly what Chip Kelly is putting together. A team that's giving Eagle fans nightmares.

WIP has had some great calls over the years. I have 2 more to share. Football first.

This was a few years ago. Cant remember who the Eagles were playing, but it was the week where players wore pink for Breast Cancer Awareness. Just before the half, Andy Reid really botched clock management. Instead of at least getting a FG, they got nothing.

So later that night a caller says....
I think next year our head coach needs to be dressed in pink from head to toe for breast cancer awareness, because there isnt a bigger boob in the league than Andy Reid.

And one last one...Baseball Call to WIP. This was I think 1993 when Joe Carter hit the dramatic HR in I believe game 6 to win the World Series. The Phillies closer was a guy named Mitch Williams. Nicknamed The Wild Thing.
And he was wild.

A day or so after the World Series, Mitch Williams house was bombed with eggs, tomatoes etc. It was a pretty big story in that area. I was living in South Jersey at the time and the story got a lot of coverage.

So a guy calls into at the time 610 WIP and he says......
I dont know why the authorities are looking for who bombed Mitch's house with eggs, I can tell you who did it. It was Mitch himself. He was trying to hit his neighbors house.

The Eagles season will be.... Interesting.
I think their pre season will go well. Maybe 3 - 1.
Regular season start well. Then about the 5th or 6th game well it falls apart.
