I hope we get him and he turns out like Ronnie Brown, Barry Sanders and Priest Holmes. IMO he is a special back that we can count on if Barber gies down or leaves.

I loved the parts where a couple of guys were ripping Gholston to shreds.

Also some pretty revealing comments on the comments of some guys' personal lives, like with Carl Nicks. That's the kind of thing we regular joes normally don't know.

Honestly, I do not think there is a single Nebraska player out there worth drafting besides Bowman.

The stories from last season with guys like Nicks, Keller, McKeon, Purify, Green would shame that university.

Sad thing is, Nicks is tame compared to McKeon and especially Keller.

The inmates basically ran the asylum last year.

But not to pat myself on the back or anything, but last week I said this about Nicks ..

As a Nebraska fan, I can straight out tell you that guy is a POS.

ANY team who drafts him is getting a lazy slob, who routinely misses practice, half-a**es practice when he does come, same for games, heavy drinker and a VERY, VERY bad locker room influence. He was one of the key reasons (along with McKeon, Ruud and Keller) as to why Nebraska tanked last year.

Look at Pelini, it took one run-in from Nicks to bar that guy from even coming back to UNL to workout. That alone should tell you everything you need to know about him.

I'd be happier if we drafted Felix Jones and DeSean Jackson if it meant we stayed away from Nicks. That alone should tell you what I think of that guy.

DARREN McFADDEN, Arkansas (6-1, 215, 4.33, 1) - First player in successive years since 1949 to finish second in voting for the Heisman Trophy. "He's better than Adrian Peterson," said Blake Beddingfield, Tennessee's scouting coordinator. "Whether it's playing quarterback or catching the ball out of the backfield or returning kickoffs or whatever, he is phenomenal. Plus, he's an instinctive football player." Third in Southeastern Conference annals in rushing yards per game behind Herschel Walker and Emmitt Smith. "He's not like Bo Jackson, Steven Jackson or Larry Johnson," Tampa Bay consultant Jim Gruden said. "Those guys are like 230 and he's only 215. He's a slasher who sees it and hits it real fast. He's not really a guy to make you miss, either, for 215, the way I see it." Has thin legs and questionable character. "You give him a seam, he's going to get you six," Tennessee national scout C.O. Brocato said. "If he doesn't have a seam, he's just going to run straight up their backs." Third-year junior.

Why does this sound like Julius Jones??? :banghead:

Judging by those scouting reports i would rank them like this

1-McFadden
2-Jones
3-Rice
4-Stewart
5-Charles
6-Johnson

Thanks for posting. Though it's just a couple of opinions out of hundreds out there, they seem to be pretty decent assessments. I disagree with some here or there--and some facts are off (Johnson started full-time one year)--but an opinion is just that. I like the Rice report.
I'm looking forward to seeing how this class pans out.

How in the world could you look at those scouting reports and rank Rice third, Stewart fourth and Mendenhall no better than seventh?

Mendenhall was not included in the eval.
