It took the Packers best defensive effort in years to beat the Cowboys and up until the Woodson interception, I did not think they would hold on. I don't know where that defense came from. They played that way in the pre-season but for some reason Capers has gone ultra conservative over the 1st half of the season. He said after the game he brought pressure because the Packers had the lead but he was bringing pressure from the 1st quarter. I have no idea what he was talking about. Last week they had a lead on Tampa and never put pressure on the QB.

McCarthy made his typical bonehead decisions by asking for a replay when there wasn't one, or asking for one when there wasn't one needed. Then passing with 4 minutes left in the game was as confusing as Yogi Berra talking to the Aflack Duck. The Cowboys defense was no doubt the best defense the Packers have played all year.

Packers are now tied in the WC chase and maybe we get to play you guys again in January. I have to admit I am hoping the Packers get to play Minnesota for the 3rd time this year, but at this point I will settle for just getting there.

Again, intense game. A great historical rival between two historical teams.
Good game!!!

There was nothing great about that game from the Cowboys perspective.

Congratulations on your teams win. Can't say I'm happy about our play but I do give credit to the Packers for their play.

WG, the Cowboys defense played outstanding thru 3+ quarters. Then injuries took their toll. I would think Cowboy fans would be take that kind of performance any week. I know it was the best defense the Packers have played against all year. Not even close.

Classy post. :starspin

Thanks for not tearing this team to pieces like most of our posters are doing.

I'm not willing to go that far.

The D played good enough that if the offense could've gotten anything going, the Cowboys leave with a W. They also made some boneheaded penalties.

Besides anytime the Cowboys leaves the field with an L, I would never say "Great Game"

Congrats. Some here are blaming the refs and injuries and all sorts of garbage. To me we just got out played. Wouldn't mind playing you again in the playoffs. I do not think you would beat us again. Props to your QB. He made less mistakes than ours and your WR's did a nice job helping him out when it counted.

That was a horrible game for the offense, this team rarely has all three phases going at the same time which is truly sad. (offense, defense and special teams)

FloridaRob. Congrats on the win, and much obliged for staying classy.

I don't know that I can speak for everybody, but I sure didn't enjoy watching that game yesterday. I can take losses, but the annoying penalties and all the challenges pretty much took the fun out of the thing for me yesterday.

It was a nasty ugly game. Left a bad taste in my mouth. Or maybe I am just hung over still. Kicked out my guests 3 seconds after the int. Drank the rest of the beer myself.

3rd and long has been an achilles heel for the Packers all year long. Rodgers was throwing some passes that I wondered how they were completed. The pass to Lee on 3rd and 11 or 12 was unreal. The guy was double covered and I think Lee did not even know he caught it until he was on the ground. There were several 3rd and long passes that were not the norm for the Packers this year.

Also, the game plan for Rodgers appeared to be 3-step drop and get rid of the ball. Over the first 8 games, there have been more 5 and 7 step drops and going for the big play which has costs them sacks and yardage. They did not do that any last night. Definetely changed their game plan. And Aikman was wrong last night. The Packers rarely throw slants or screens anymore. They did more last night than they have since FAvre left.

Ha. That was my biggest problem with yesterday. It just wasn't any fun to watch.

I'd come to terms with the fact that we weren't likely to go 14-2, and it was pretty clear early that we ran into a buzzsaw v. that defense. But it's no fun at all watching teams try to overcome 2 and 20 and fail for 45 minutes, big plays called back on both sides for ticky-tack reason, and one coach or another issuing challenges every other series. Just boring tv.

Smart move by Capers putting Woodson on Witten, you took our safety blanket away while still Blitzing, Romo didn't have time to make a play and when he did the WR's let us down.

Congrats on a big win. You guys REALLY needed that game and you came through.

Hey, anyone remember a Packers fan called "Bolshevik PackFan"? That guy was great, always couching everything in communist vs capitalist language. Funny guy!

I thought the Packers were on an elite level during the preseason, i was very wrong. Honestly, i do not think the Packers are very good at this point. They shot themselves in the foot many times...looked like the Cowboys but in Yellow and Green. Nice win for you...we will see if it can be a turning point.
