great line or great player?

let me just say i believe we had a great line but he sure was a great player...look at all those cuts on a dime...not many have ever done it with so much grace...i wish we could find another emmitt!

same here though he will never come close to Emmitt.

Agree. Emmitt was special. Durable every down back. I do think TC will be the starter in 2010 and Barber will fizzle from the pounding like Earl. Just my opinion.

Tashard Choice reminds me of Emmitt.
I thought so too, the run blocking sure looked better when he was in there. He seems to have the best vision out of our backs.

Emmitt was a gift... truly a pleasure to watch.

Choice reminds me more of Tony Dorsett... not the same speed or vision, but he sure looked like TD in that Pittsburgh game... at least to me.

Combination of both! Even with that line, Emmitt was tough, durable, relentless, shifty, and sneaky fast! His vision was impeccable and instincts second to none. IMO, he deserves to be mentioned as one of the greatest to run the rock!

On a aside, I'm watching the 'Boys/Niners 92 championship game on NFLN and sometimes I forget how great our defense was during those years. That had to be one of the most complete football teams ever assembled.

Funny that you say that-I think Felix looks like TD.
:D

If given the shot, maybe he could. But the way the Cowboys think offensively these days, RB-by-committee is the only approach. So Tashard's opportunity to get majority of the carries is nill. Won't happen here in Dallas.

Plus, Felix was no slouch. Felix has the chance to be the feature guy of the 3 if he continues to improve on his rookie season, and can stay healthy.

Michael Irvin said it best... the CB's of the opposing teams would ask him not to block their view so they could watch him run...don't here that about Barry.

Now that you mention it, yeah, he sure does. Hopefully, we get to see a lot more than 30 carries this season.

Emmitt had mad skills but he also had a huge Oline to block for him, so its kinda half and half.

Balance...Balance....Balance...All across the board! Offense, defense, special teams, you name it.

Watching that video was like finding a picture of your old girlfriend you are still not sure why you broke up with all those years ago.
