You guys are warmin' my heart here, I'm a BIG Seger fan... if any of you get a chance, check out his newer stuff (I particularly like "Face The Promise", released in 2006)... the old guy can still rock and roll... one of the songs, "Real Mean Bottle" is a kick-butt duet with Kid Rock...
Some of y'all may remember that a local Dallas TV station used a verse from "Against the Wind" in their tribute to Michael Irvin when the latter retired:
The years go slowly past
I found myself alone
Surrounded by strangers I thought were my friends
I found myself further and further from my home
I guess I lost my way
Over oh so many roads
I was running to live and living to run
Never worrying about paying or even how much I owed...
It was the perfect choice to sum up the Playmaker's troubled but brilliant career...
