This is all gathered from public media and no association with "Rolling Stone"

Please add the talent I have surely missed

After Xavier Cooper(great player I learned about on CZone), Louis Trinca-Pasat is one of the best values at DT in my opinion. He's still a bit raw, but Trinca-Pasat was even more impressive than linemate Carl Davis when watching Iowa.

Defensive Line that could add to our collection, in another thread Walker made a great point we have some real talent in the Cowboys practice squad with some fire hydrant/refrigerator built players ready to take the next step. OK here is the list that give coaches job security.

  • Marcus Hardison
  • Leterrius Walton
  • Darius Philon
  • Tyler Davison
  • Chucky Hunter
  • Travis Raciti
  • Bud Dupree (1st round still sushi)
  • Danielle Hunter
  • Lynden Trail
  • Shaq Riddick
  • Marcus Rush
  • Corey Crawford
  • Ray Drew
  • Ryan Russell
  • Deion Barnes
Offensive Line

not on list, Ali Marpet IMO he has great footwork and fundamentals(not raw) no longer great value in 2nd rd some have said Evan Mathis incarnate my take, he is a glass eater.

  • Antoine Everett McNeese State OG, 6'3, 325, 4.62 40 pro day (not invited to combine)
  • Mark Glowinski
  • Quinten Spain
  • Laurence Gibson
  • Corey Robinson
  • Tayo Fabuluje (Brian Broadus pick from TCU)
  • Jarvis Harrison (Aggie with bright future IMO)
  • Mitch Morse getting lots of media attention of late 4th rd these days

I agree, sorry I think it is 4.52 thanks for the heads up. Just joking, the 4.62 is out there.

Glowinski is a pet cat for me. Hope Cowboys spend a late pick on him.

Not sure what is considered raw but I assume most guys in the 4th and later would be considered that...

Both guys from Tennessee-Chattanooga would make my list. DT Derrick Lott and DE Davis Tull (although Tull may go pretty early).

Bobby Richardson DT Indiana
Quayshawne Buckley DT Idaho
Christian Covington DT Rice
Tavaris Barnes DT/DE Clemson
Max Valles DE/OLB Virginia

O lineman seem to be a little weak this year..
Takoby Cofield OT Duke
Rob Crisp OT NC State
Robert Myers OG Tenn St

By Raw I mean not having great fundamentals such as footwork for Olinemen. Dlinemen that still have to think about what to do when they line up I think Bud Dupree is a perfect example once they get it down they will excel because they already have the physical attributes.
C Covington has been getting lots of press of late. Knee Surgery must be coming along as predicted.

Agree with you on Tull he will leave the menu early.

Max Valles IMO is Raw, young and playing opposite Eli Harold, he sometimes lets his motor go quiet, needs a year of tough training camps, would like to see him with a star on his helmet. He has a nice physical bull rush.

Marcus Rush

Four-year letter winner started a school-record 53 games at defensive end . . . recorded 163 career tackles, including 37.5 for losses (183 yards) and 18.5 sacks (131 yards) . . . finished his career ranked among MSU's all-time leaders in forced fumbles (tied for sixth with five), tackles for loss yardage (seventh with 183 yards), tackles for loss (seventh with 37.5), sacks (seventh with 18.5) and sack yardage (eighth with 131) . . . also had 16 career pass break-ups and two blocked kicks .

I wonder how that attribute of being a four year starter translates to the NFL? Anyone know if starting as a freshman contributes to draft success, I would assume it means more maturity and with some of these guys that is clearly not in abundance.

Zack Martin played in 52 college games.

It will take more than one to create a attribute we can count on. What a stellar example. How many did Claiborne and Bobby Carpenter start might be a way to prove or nix this little datapoint.
Found the data Claiborne was a backup during his freshman year, 12 games sophomore, all games as a junior.
Carpenter started 26 games out of the 50 he played during his career at OSU.
Travis Frederick was the first true freshman to start a season opening game as a freshman.
Tyron Smith backup behind Charles Brown freshman year, started all sophomore and junior years.
Rolando McClain started 8 of 13 games as a freshman.
Sean Lee backup as freshman, start all games sophomore and junior MVP of alamo bowl vs A&M and Stephen McGee former cowboy backup QB(redshirted and then started three years)
