Throughout the game and the NFL Network's postgame show, Rich Eisen and Steve Mariucci pontificated repeatedly on the vociferousness of Cowboy fans at Texas Stadium. Eisen described them as "racous" and stated that they created a "playoff like atmosphere."

Troy Aikman, Darren Woodson, and Wade Philips also gave glowing assessments. And during an interview with Ed Werder, Tony Romo described the crowd as the loudest he had heard.

Personally, I'm pleased the Texas Stadium crowd didn't begin booing when the Packers pulled close in the second half. Philly fans almost certainly would've. I'm also pleased that Cowboys fan are capable of cheering on their team without resorting to thuggish tactics against opponent fans, such as battery throwing.

Unfortunately, the Green Bay crowd almost sounded louder after the Packers got close and we were down near our own endzone.

The Packer players were actually pumping the crowd up. Telling them to make more noise while the Cowboys was on offense. Too bad on the very next play, Romo completed a pass to dash the hearts of the Packers defense.

It seemed most of the Packers fans were situated in that area.

But as I said, according to many unbiased sources, the Cowboy fans at Texas Stadium were great tonight.

Excellent work!

Really? AIkman gave us a glowing assessment?? I couldn't hear the game so well because I was at a bar, but that just seems hard to believe. Not calling you out or anything, but Aikman, out of all the sports-casters, seemed to be the most critical one we had. That's good to hear though!:starspin

Please read the board about how bad our crowd sucks before posting such foolishness again.

Thank you.

According to Aikman, the crowd was exactly like it was during the 95 Championship game. Prior to the game, he even stated that tonight was one of few times he regretted retiring, due in part to the crowd's energy.

When they showed at least twice that the Packers were trying to get the crowd pumped up, you know they were making alot of noise. One was a defensive player, I think Corey Williams and the other was Aaron Rodgers from the sidelines. It sounded loud enough to be a home game for Green Bay. I would like nothing more than to say the Cowboys crowd drowned them out, but it just didn't seem that way listening on the TV.

I know my block was pretty loud. I went outside to make a phone call and we scored while I was on the phone. I heard people up and down my street cheering.

You're right.

I'm sorry.

I shouldn't listen to the announcers who are actually at the game. I should take the word of people from the east coast who rarely attend games.:p:

The Packers fans at Texas Stadium didn't sound particularly overwhelming through my TV. But as I've stated in the past, one cannot accurately gauge crowd noise through a televion set, in my opinion.

We Cowboy fans simply must accept that Packers fans, like Cowboy, Steeler, and Chief fans, travel well. In my opinion, it's wrong to project hostility towards opponent fans simply to keep them out of your stadium.

I'm not saying the Cowboy fans at the game weren't loud, I am making a comment about the people that weren't at the game that should be rather than the Green Bay fans. They were very loud and it sounded like a home crowd, not the away team.

Once again, the announcers, coaches, and players were extremely complimentary towards Cowboy fans at Texas Stadium, and their word means more to me than yours.

Sorry.;)
