Joe Gibbs approached Bill Parcells during a Cowboys practice one day. He asked Bill, "Just what is your secret to success? I mean, everytime I play you... you win. What's your secret?"
Bill turns and calls Tony Romo over. "Tony", Bill asks, "Who is your father's, brother's nephew?"
"That's easy coach", Tony responds, "It's me."
Bill turns back to Joe and says, "You see Joe? Smart Quarterback. That's the secret to winning."
The following day at Commanders practice Joe Gibbs calls his Quarterback Mark Brunnell over.
"Mark, who is your father's, brother's nephew?" Coach Gibbs asks.
Mark Brunnell thinks for a moment and responds, "Gee that's a tough one Coach. I'll have to think about it and get back to you after practice."
Later that day during practice, Mark Brunnell says to Clinton Portis, "Clinton, you'll never guess what Coach Gibbs asked me today. He asked, 'Who is your father's, brother's nephew?'"
"That's an easy one," Portis responded, "That would be me."
When practice was finished, Mark ran over to Coach Gibbs and said, "Coach! Coach! I think I know the answer! My father's, brother's nephew is Clinton Portis."
"No. No, it's not *******." Coach Gibbs answered in disbelief.
"It's Tony Romo."
