Political correctness has been a concern surrounding Vick. Teams who thought he was good passed on him to avoid bad publicity that would come along with him if he were their starter. IF you want to work him in as your starter, even though he killed puppies, you have to have some sort of justification behind it.
What is so stupid about that? I doubt Vick has been told that he can't start this year at all, because it's Kolb's year. That would be stupid.
You can see what they have in Kolb--a guy who needs grooming. He's not going to lead their team this year.
Yet they have a Vick/Kolb combo? They call it "the wildcat". Is Vick only capable of running the wildcat? Which other team is running a quarterback-by-committee approach?
Again, about it being a "diversion" or the possibility of it being a diversion, what is so stupid about that?
