It's amazing how Jerry's cheapness regarding eating coaches contracts has remained unnoticed to some of you.

Some of us can do math. When you're worth $4.5 billion eating $6 million is chump change, 00.13% to be precise.

It's not about the money. It's what it's always about - Jerry's ego. Eating a contract is admitting that he was wrong.

Green Bay SB win will make the McCarthy's resume slightly irrelevant. He has to go minimum 11-5 NFC East champs and playoff run to the NFC championship game, otherwise he should be replaced by Kellen Moore the following season. Jerry has plenty of money to bite the bullet.

GB winning or losing has nothing to do with McCarthy or anything about what the Cowboys will do.

I have a different take, and without having reviewed the posts in the thread (no time, at work), maybe I'm repeating something someone else has already said.

A GB Super Bowl appearance and victory... not that it's likely, but it is at least possible still... would almost certainly fan the flames in McC's very soul to make sure he's not reduced to a side-note in future biographies and documentaries produced about Aaron Rodgers. NOT that I think motivation could ever be a problem as-is. The man is driven, there's no question. But his motivation will be on steroids if that were to happen.

McCarthy is such a dud. Who hires the guy that couldn’t win with that Green Bay team?

He ate remaining contract on Switzer, Gailey and Wade.. That is why it goes unnoticed. Keeping Garrett had nothing to do with cheap

So the choice is admit being wrong or pay someone what he loses in his couch to avoid it as long as possible.

The amount of criticism McCarthy is getting from posters on here before he coaches a single hour for the Cowboys is astounding.

There is one of two things going on with these people.
#1 - The had themselves thoroughly convinced that JJ was going to hire some high profile headline grabbing splashy coach that was going to come in here and turn the NFL on its side. They didn't get that with MM so they hate him for no other reason other than they were wrong.
or
#2 - They thrive on posting negative threads

#2 meets many of posters criteria and narratives on here.

Green Bay won't be SB champs this year. The 9ers will kill them, but even if they squeak by them, KC will kill them.

While I greatly appreciate you spending your free time on this forum to share your truths with us coach Garrett, don't you think your time is better served getting in some much needed family time, or a quick 18 holes with your buddy Romo? o_O

Why? Are they playing with exact same roster but only the head coach? Look at their defensive starters, all but two players were not in 2018 roster. What's more, the Packers had a relatively easier roster thanks to their 2018 record and just beat a depleted Seahawks team. If they beat the Niners, let's revisit this thread.
revisit nonsense??
.. this makes absolutely no sense..the thread itself is just plain ignorant to hang another's teams success on the ex coach and his new team.. this isnt fantasy this is life, trying to connect one to the other is really crazy..

the GB packers changed philosophy after MM left they went out in FA and spent like they never have before, they decided to spend money on defense and start running the ball more...this isnt MM fault and blaming him before you look at the bigger picture is senseless..

MM is not tied to his old teams failures of success this is a new venture and clean slate..

I think it's ego and I also think he clearly doesn't value coaching.

He still thinks games are won with strictly talent.

Dallas has still been playing neanderthal football and ignoring analytics.

I do agree with what you said except for Kellen Moore.

GB will most likely get drilled by SF. They are complete and is better than GB in almost every metric except pure QB ability but SF does not rely on Jimmy G to do everything as Seattle asked Russell. GB did not have to respect Seattle's run game at all. Won;t be the case this Sunday. SF's defense is also much better than Seattle's. Rodgers is not going to be 7/9 passing on 3rd down like he was yesterday.

SF could have an off day and GB catches them off guard and wins but I just don't see it. Maybe if it was in GB.

Anyone who watches the packers and pretends their success is somehow a negative indictment of Mike McCarthy is an idiot.

the Packers have the NFLs 18th ranked offense. The difference in GB is defense and that came from their new GM finally spending money on quality free agents.

And Aaron Jones staying healthy.
